LOCAL Iowa City -Wednesday, August 29, 1984 District Court The following cases were disposed of in Johnson County District Court Aug. 20-27: Rodney Dean Blair, 18, of 32 Regal Lane. Sentenced to 72 days in jail Aug. 22 after pleading guilty to operating a motor vehicle without the owner's consent. Given credit for 21 days served.

Also ordered to make restitution for court-appointed attorney fees. lowa City police charged Blair with second -degree theft on May 1. John Langley Jackson, 23, of 199 Sixth Coralville. A charge of indecent exposure was dismissed 22. in lowa City police charged Jackson.

Bulletin board lowa nurses group The fifth district of the Iowa Nurses' Association will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, in the Amana Room of Iowa Hall at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids.

The business meeting will be conducted from 7 to 7:30 p.m. The program, beginning at 7:30 p.m., will be on the "Expanding Roles for Nurses," presented by a panel of non-hospital nurses. Sentenced to 90 days in jail Aug. 23 after pleading guilty to operating a motor vehicle without the owner's consent. Given credit for 57 days served. Ordered to make restitution of $300 for court attorney fees. Johnson County Sheriff's deputies charged Preston June second degree theft.

Sentenced to two concurrent 48-day jail sentences Aug. 23 after being convicted Aug. 6 of operating a motor vehicle while his license is revoked and failure to return license.

The sentences are to run concurrently with a sentence in Keokuk County. McDowell is now serving in the state's men's reformatory in Anamosa on that sentence. lowa City police charged McDowell May 11. Rusty Lee Patterson, 22, of Columbus' Junction. Fined $275 Aug.

23 after pleading guilty to operating a motor vehicle while his license is revoked. Johnson County Sheriff's deputies charged Patterson June 25. Leon Wayne Walker, 38, of Rockford, Ill. Sentenced to eight days in jail Magistrate's Court The following people pleaded guilty to or were convicted of simple misdemeanors in Johnson County Magistrate's Court Aug. 20-27: Timothy Patrick Feeney, 21, of 737 Mayflower Apartments.

Fined $11.50 plus $8 court costs Aug. 22 after pleading guilty to reporting false information to a law enforcement officer. lowa City police charged Feeney Aug. 22. Wilson "Pete" Mace, no age listed, of 306 Lafayette St.

Fined $17.25 plus $8 court costs Aug. 23 after pleading guilty to harassment. Marjorie Skriver of 2121 S. Riverside Drive charged Mace July 21. Judy Bennett.

Kane, 28, of 4 Stonewall Drive. Sentenced to 48 hours in jail and fined $330 Aug. 24 after pleading guilty July 26 to drunken driving. Given credit for eight hours served. The rest of the sentence was suspended and Kane was placed on one year of probation.
