The buyer is an operator. This is considered one of the choicest plots In the Fourth Avenue section, and was held at 135.000. Water Front Boaght for 1 ,300,000. Tho National Bugar'Reflnlng Company has bought from the New York Land and Warehouse Company a large water front property on Newtown Creek, valued at about il.5uu.0d0. The plot includes three parcels one of six and a half acres under water at the mouth of Newtown Creek.

One of the upland parcels has a front-axe of 220 feet on the south side of Pier Street, 2tll feet on the west side of River Street, and 276 feet along the bulkhead line of Newtown Creek. The other has a frontage of 320 feet on the west side of Front Street, 4V) feet on the east side of River Street, 200 feet on the south of Dock Street, and the sumo along the bulkhead of the East River. The outside tract under water extends 600 feet out into the East River, and has a frontage of 1,024 feet on the Newtown Creek pier and bulkhead line and 873 feet on the East River pier line. The property was sold subject to a lease to the Atlantic Coast Lumber Company, which expires In 1914. but the lease can be terminated upon a year's notice.

It is said to be the plan of the National Sugar Refining Company to build on this plot an immense refinery, and it may lead to the'concentratlon of a vast sugar refining industry along tha Creek front.
