Louis fur houses not only handle the furs from all parts of South America, Mexico, the United States, Canada and Alaska, but consignments of skins are often received from Norway and Sweden, and buyers from all parts of the world come to this market for their peltries. In addition to being the largest receiving point for raw furs in the world, St. Louis is also noted for the number of large dealers and exporters located here. Trappers In all parts of the country ship their furs to this market, and buyers from London and Leipsic, the other Important fur markets of the world, say that they are able to get fresher and cheaper furs In St. Louis than anywhere else in the world.

The ceremonies Monday night will Include a banquet, addresses, music and vaudeville. In addition to the sales rooms, display rooms and grading rooms, the new exchange Is also provided with a completely equipped kitchen and dining rooms, where, during the busy seasons, when the fur sales are in progress, meals will be served to buyers, so that they will not be compelled to leave the building until their purchases are completed. Apparently trapped beyond hope of escape, a girl believed to be Roberta Buist De Jannon, the 16-year-old heiress has slipped out of Lancaster, Pa. syid made her way with Frederick Cohen, the waiter with whom she eloped, through a battalion of detectives. The couple were accompanied by an unidentified woman. Miss De Janon, who is heiress to the $10,000,000 of Robert Buist, the Philadelphia seedman, with Cohen, and the strange woman, went to a quiet hotel, and within a short time the place was surrounded. The suicide notes sent by Miss De Jannon were mailed, it was ascertained, near the place where Cohen lived, a neighborhood never visited by-Miss De Jannon, so far as known.
