He enjoyed boating, loved his toys and gadgets, always had a joke to tell, and had a way of making people feel special. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, his son Bruce, and brother Stuart. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Roberta; daughters, Rhonda (Paul) Bennett, Shannon Kelley; sons, Thomas (Sandra) Kelley, Harrison B. He was a member of Emanuel First Lutheran Church serving on the church council and, tor many years, as an usher and especially enjoyed ringing the bells.

He was also a past member of the Lansing Liederkranz Club. He was a faithful husband, loving father, and wonderful Opa. He was predeceased by his parents; sister, Hedwig; and brother, Otto. Survivors include his wife, Ella; daughters, Evelyn Fratzke and Barbel "Barb DeWitt; granddaughter, Jessica DeWitt; siblings, Sigismund (Hildegarde) Fratzke, Delilla (RC.)
