Butkus, in his ninth Bear sea two tough games to Dallas and Minnesota and beat Denver, and then the roof caves in on us.

"Injuries have hurt us and we have been hit by not-intelligent penalties. Maybe, it's a lack of concentration. I don't think it's all the fault of Bobby Douglass at quarterback." Butkus said "I'll have something to say at the end of the year" about his future pro career. He said he wasn't interested in becoming a member of the beat Sturgis," 40-26 last Friday, said Pennfield Coach Bob Scheloske. "Terry is an all-around athlete." "This year we went down to the final day and we came up one student short of being a Class school," said Coach Waldo Keating. So, the Gladiators dropped to Class where they now rule the Associated Press poll released today.

Had they been in Class chances are they would be at least a few notches further down in the standings, which are topped by defending champ Hudson. "You can't take anything away from Hudson," Keating said. "Anyone who can win 50 games in a row like they've done deserves tobe on top." The Gladiators totaled a perfect 75 points, getting a perfect 15 points from each of the five Class panel members representing newspapers and broadcasters throughout Michigan. Powerful Saginaw Arthur Hill, which some people feel could beat some small college teams, remains first in Class A and Dearborn Divine Child tops the Class list. They, along with Hudson, also polled a perfect 75 points.
