Starting in August, volleyball will be played in the fall and girls basketball in the winter. Boys golf and girls tennis will be played in the spring; girls golf and boys tennis shift to the fall. In the Upper Peninsula, girls soccer will be played in the fall and boys soccer will be played in the spring. Busy seasons Here's how area leagues plan to schedule boys and girls basketball games this winter: Capital Area Activities Conference Both varsities will play Tuesdays and Fridays, with freshman and junior varsity teams playing on Mondays and Thursdays at sites opposite the varsities. Central Michigan Athletic Conference Teams will alternate weekly with all three levels playing either on Monday and Thursday or Tuesday and Friday.

Southern Michigan Athletic Association Teams will alternate weekly with all three levels playing either Tuesday and Friday or only Thursday.
