WIL Derby Show. Unemployment relief has cost the city government $7,228,793 41 in the five years since November, 1931, Comptroller Nolte reported today. Based on figures recently made public by Harry Hopkins, national relief administrator. Nolle said St. Louis has spent 11,144.731 mora for relief during that period than has the State of Missouri.

The state's total expenditures were listed at 88,084.062 tn a report Hopkins submitted to President Roosevelt. Expenditures of $1,525,000 from general municipal revenue funds were reported by Nolte in the two-year period ending in November, 1932. The first relief bond Issue, of $4,600,000. provided funds until April, 1935, and since that time $1,103,793 4t has been spent out of th? $3,600,000 bond Issue approved last spring. Nolte said the city will be unable to increase Us relief appropriations over the present $150,000 a month, which compares favorably with sums spent by other large cities.
