James, Mo. Suspect Held In Kidnap-Robbery Of Woman Here A 27-year-old suspect was arrested and. identified yesterday by Mrs. Ruby Da via, 20-year-old cashier, as the man who kidnaped her and robbed her of $575 of her employer's money last April 4, police reported. The arrested man, a salesman living in Overland, denied any connection with the case.

Police booked him suspected of kidnaping and assault with intent to do great bodily harm, as a fugitive from St. Louis County and on a robbery complaint. Warrants will be applied for today. Police credited Mrs. Davis, who lives at 1237 Sutter Wellston, with supplying information which led to the suspect's arrest.

She told them she recognized him as her assailant last Tuesday when she saw him at a lunch counter in a dime' store at 6653 Delmar btvd University City. Mrs. Davis also informed them that he appeared to be acquainted with a waitress at the counter. Detective Sgt. William A.

Girard and Detective CpL Claude Pelham then traced him to his place of employment in the 6600 block of Delmar and arrested him. Mrs. Davis then formally identified the man at Police Headquarters as the armed bandit who forced his way into an automobile of her employer, the Wright Motor automobile agency at 6111 Delmar after she had gone to a bank to withdraw $575 for the company last April 4. She said he forced her to drive about aimlessly for two hours and finally to a little-used road in St. Louis County where he took the car keys and the money and fled.
