(U. Three investigating bodies attempted today to determine the cause of a rear-end collision last night of two fast Illinois Central suburban trains in which a 25-year-old girl was killed, twenty-five injured, and scores of other passengers shaken severely. Both trains, filled with homeward-bound "loop'" workers, left the downtown I. C. station within six minutes of each other.

Minutes later the first train pulled into the Eighty-third street station at the South Chicago branch of the railroad. All its passengers had been ctlscharjed when the second express, speeding past a trainman who attempted to flag it down, rammed the motionless string of cars. The six cars of each train, of all-steel bodies, remained on the tracks but the first car of the second train was telescoped for ten feet. Bernice Inczaskis. 25.
