He was born on April 4, 1954 in Bronx, NY and has been a resident of the area for 22 years. Mr. Karp was employed at Michigan State University for 15 years, currently in the University Printing Department; he was a member of the Mercedes Club; and enjoyed Astronomy, Astro Photography, Art, and tinkering with his Mercedes.

Surviving are his partner, Edita Herbstova; parents, Steven and Ruth Ann Karp of Lansing; 3 sisters, Geraldine and her husband, Jack Olivier, Deborah and her husband, Joe Chaudhary, Paula Donnelly, all of Florida; nieces and nephews, Evette, Rose, Jack, Amir, and Derrick. The Funeral Service will be conducted by Rabbi Amy Wallk-Katz, Director of Religious Education of Kehillat Israel Congregation, at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, April 20, 1995 at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. East Lansing Long time resident and former Lansing Community College faculty member, died at home on Tuesday, April 18, 1995 at the age of 90. Born Marguerite L. Garlough on March 28, 1905 in Delevan, ILshe attended Wheaton College, where she was a member of Phi Mu Sorority, and later received a Master of Arts degree from the University of Iowa.

She taught high school English and drama in Iowa, and served as a high school women's basketball coach. After marrying Don W. Davis, her husband of nearly sixty years, she lived in Hamilton, OH, Lansing and East Lansing, raising 3 sons. In 1957, she resumed her high school teaching career In Dowagiac, MI and then Indianapolis, developing expertise as a reading specialist. When she and her husband moved back to Michigan in 1964, she joined the faculty at Lansing Community College as a reading specialist.

After retirement, she devoted her attention to her family as a marvelous role model. She is survived by her husband, Donald; 3 sons, Daryl of Norman of Springfield, VA, Rafe of Williamston; a niece, Mary Kalb of East Lansing and her daughter, Eugenia Kalb Hancock of Plymouth; 5 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, April 21, 1995 at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. Interment will be Saturday in Garlough Cemetery, Pitchin, OH.

and Alma Alberta (Russell) Bullock; was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Eaton Rapids and the Eaton Rapids Camp Meeting. He was employed with the U.S. Treasury Dept. as an IRS Agent for 25 years, retiring in 1995. He was a veteran of Vietnam, serving in the Air Force.

Mr. Bullock is survived by his wife of 22 years, Becky; 1 daughter, Emily Bullock of Eaton Rapids; 1 son, Wesley Bullock at home; 2 brothers, John (Virginia) Bullock of Jenison and Nels (Cynthia) Bullock of Oke-mos; 1 sister, Jamie (Paul) Zimmer of Grand Ledge; several nieces and nephews. Lansing We wish to honor the passing on of our wonderful and loving hus-band and father. Mr. Niehaus, age 54, died Monday, April 17, 1995. Born August 1, 1940 in Cincinnati, OH to John and Norma Niehaus. Bob had retired from General Motors Plant Security after 29 years of loyal and devoted service from 1964 to 1993.

On April 4, 1964, Bob married his best friend, Nola Finstrom. Bob was a member of St. Casimir Catholic Church. One can only dream of a perfect loving family in our lifetime, but to those who knew Bob and Nola along with their children, Laura and John, lived that great dream. Bob's greatest joy was his family, brothers and sisters, thinking of their welfare before his own.

You would have to have known Bob to truly understand what a kind, caring and giving man he was. His gentle softness eluded those around him. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Norma Niehaus. His memory will live on throughout his loving and devoted wife of 31 years, Nola Finstrom Niehaus; daughter, Laura (Jeff) Hicks of Lansing; son, John and his fiancee, Patricia Dunlap, both of Houston, TX; 2 brothers, Richard and Roger (Suzanne) Niehaus, both of Lansing; 2 sisters, Joan (Doug) Harper of Lansing and Norma Lee (Pete) Decker of Venice, FL; many nieces and nephews. Mr. Ackley was born in Charlotte, the son of William and Lillie (Willis) Ackley. He was a Supervisor and Die Sinker for Altas Drop Forge of the Dana Corporation in Lansing, retiring in 1979. He was a member of the Senior Citizens and Family Golf Leagues in Olivet. He is survived by daughters, Karen (Jack) Faught of Charlotte, Pamela Pearson of Lansing; son, Bill of Charlotte; grandchildren, Jennifer, Jack II and Jessica Faught, all of Charlotte, Christopher and Bethany Ackley, both of Lansing; niece, Delores (Gene) Patterson of Lansing.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie, in 1989. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 21, 1995 at 1 p.m. at the Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte, with Tom Haynie officiating. Interment in the Kalamo Cemetery. Family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Diabetes Foundation.

Visitation will be Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funerals WEBSTER, HELEN LUCILLE Sunfield Formerly of DeWitt Age 74. Mrs. Webster passed away Tuesday, April 18, 1995 in Sunfield. She was born April 8, 1921, in Arkansas, the daughter of George W.

and Lola M. Young (Creecy). Mrs. Webster was a member of Al-Anon, she was employed at General Motors, retiring in 1982. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harley Webster; son, Harley Eugene; granddaughter, Collette Webster brother, James Young; sister, Evelyn Meins.

Surviving are 2 sons, John D. (Jan) Webster of Sunfield, and George R. (Lynda) Webster of Longwood, FL; grandchildren, Chris (Kelly) Webster, Cammy Webster, Michelle (Todd) Pope, Wendy and Ashley Webster; 4 brothers, George, Thomas, Don and Edward Young all of Arkansas; many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 3 p.m. Friday, April 21, 1995 at the Sunfield United Methodist Church, 227 Logan Sunfield, with Rev.

SHAUB, RICHARD DALE Grandville Formerly of Lansing Age 59, passed away April 19, 1995. Dick founded the Golfhaus of Grand Rapids in 1976. He was a member of the Wyoming AMBUCS, and was AMBUCS National Project Manager in 1992-1993. He was also a member of Sunnybrook C.C. since 1 977, and the Grand Rapids and Wyoming Chambers of Commerce.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dale; and grandson, Matthew. He will be missed by his wife, Claudia; his children, Dale (Linda) of Wyoming, Catherine (Michael) Jasinski of Traverse City, William (Monica Ann) of Chicago, Suzanne (Reed) Young of Kalamazoo, Lynne (Jeff) Chapman of Middleville; 12 grandchildren; his mother, Helen (Ken) Duerr of Largo, FL; his brothers, Daniel (Katy) of Lansing, David (Sharon) of Pueblo, CO; his mother-in-law, Alyce Berry; and sister-in-law, Toni (Bill) Laidlaw, all of I Grand Rapids. The Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. from St. Pius Catholic Church, 3939 Wilson St SW, with the Rev.

John Nadjowski as Celebrant. Visitation will be Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Grandville Chapel of the Cook Funeral Home, 4235 Prairie St. SW. The Rosary will be recited Friday at 8 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Greater Grand Rapids or to the Michigan Cancer Society. BENDER, REBECCA L. Mason Mini i.it ilii nun Age 43, died Tuesday, April 18, 1995. She was born February 12, 1952 in Port OH. Becky graduated from Indian Vallev South High bcnooi, earned her B.A.

Degree at the University of Akron and her M.A. Degree at Central Michigan University and Michigan State University. She taught music and elementary education with Charlotte Public Schools for 14 years and more recently taught sixth grade for 7 years at Mason Middle School. Becky is survived by her parents, Bob and Lelia Bender; 2 brothers, Steve (Marsha) and Greg (Sharon); significant friend and longtime companion, Judy Rohm; and loving friends. Becky's spirit will remain with all who knew her, her love of life and her courage were an inspiration to all.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 22, 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Mason, 1000 E. Columbia, Mason, with the Rev. William D. Wolfe, Pastor officiating.

Friends may call at the Gorsline-Runciman Co. Ball-Dunn Chapel, 621 S. Jefferson Mason, beginning Friday 2 p.m., where the family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Contributions can be made on Becky's behalf to the Capital Area Humane Society, 7095 W. LARSON, HELEN L. Grand Ledge Mrs. Larson, age 89, passed away April 18, 1995 at Lansing, MI. She has been a lifetime area resident; member of the Grand Ledge First United Methodist Church for over 60 years; former Sunday School Teacher and past President of the Church Circle. A member of the Patch Club and a retired Teacher of the Grand Ledge Public Schools, having taught in Delta Mills.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Mrs. No-reen (Royal) Satterlee of St. Charles, MO and Mrs. Doris (Bob) Moore of DeWitt; 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Earl (Peggy) Rosier of Grand Ledge and Richard (Betty) Rosier of Eagle; sister, Mildred Morris of Grand Ledge; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Harry; daughter, Donna McCloud; and grandson, Kevin McCloud.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 21, 11 a.m. at the Grand Ledge First United Methodist Church, corner of Scott and Harrison Sts. with interment at the Oakwood Cemetery, Grand Ledge. The family will receive friends at the Peters Murray Funeral Home, Grand Ledge, 7-9 p.m. Thursday.
