No Objections Are Heard To Industrial Re-Zoning MARSHALL Any opposition to the location of an industrial park in Marshall Township failed to materialize at last night's public hearing. The hearing was called in connection with the rezoning of about 800 acres of land from agricultural to industrial to accommodate location of an industrial park.

The land lies along Drive North west of Creek beC. tween former US-12 and the Kalamazoo River. Comments from some of the 45 persons attending indicated that they preferred having the parcel zoned industrial rather than commercial. Others commented that they had seen industrial parks of the type proposed here, and that they were attractive. Joseph Schroeder, attorney for the township, said the board was working out further details of the ordinance regulating storage of materials for industrial firms.

Also being studied is the amount of set-back for structures, particularly along US-12, which sometime in the future would become a four-lane P. Next step in the rezoning procedure, said Charles Quick, township supervisor, and Henry Parker, chairman of the zoning board, will be to submit the proposal to the Calhoun County Metropolitan Planning Commission, which will make its recommendation before returning it to township board for final action. A public hearing was also held in January.

The hearing was rescheduled after a technicality involving a conflict of positions was discovered following the initial hearing. The conflict stemmed from the positions of township building inspector and chairman of the zoning board, which were both held by Parker. Parker then resigned as building inspector, and was reappointed as a member of the zoning board. Poetry Reading Session Set At Marshall School an adequate program appears favorable, Cunningham said, due to graduate work being done by key school personnel and the aid from the state department of education in working with the study committee. To be effective, Cunningham added, the educational program must include psychological, olgical and ethical facts as well as physical.

He said units on sex education are taught in science, physical education, homemaking and guidance. However, the school does not have a complete and integrated program from kinde garten through the 12th grade. Area Births OAKLAWN HOSPITAL IN MARSHALL." Mr. and Mrs. Richard Elwood of 821 W.
