Receptions will be held today during the fellowship times after morning services. Don has been a life long member of this church, and Hattie joined after their wedding.

Contemporary worship at FUMC begins at 9:30 a.m. Cake and punch will be served at 10:30 a.m. The traditional service is at 11:00 a.m. and a second reception is scheduled from noon p.m. Both events will be hosted by their children: son Kim Tuck and his wife Marylene; and daughter Shelly Vogt and her husband Harold.

The Tucks' eldest daughter, Kathleen Kissinger, passed away in May 1994. Their son-in-law, Gordon Kissinger, is in Florida for the winter. The Tucks have six grandchildren: Wesley (Tammy) Breen of Viksburg; Karina (Timothy) Moore of Battle Creek; Jodi (Paige) Hamilton of Fort Wayne, Indiana; Brenden Tuck of Sacramento, California; and Tara and Gina Vogt of Battle Creek. Currently they are also busy helping to care for two great-grandsons, Dylan and Allan Moore. A new great-grandchild is due in May 2005.

On November 6, the 400-yard freestyle relay team of Maggie Fuld, Lisa Egelkraut, Sarah Jones and Danielle LaFrance broke a 27-year-old school record. With a time of 3 minutes, 54.46 seconds. Sara is the daughter of John and Linda Briggs of Battle Creek.

Tony is the son of Sheri Brown and Jack Mary Brown also of Battle Creek. The bride graduated from Harper Creek High School in 1994 and Western Michigan University in 1999. She is currently employed by the Heinz Company in Bentonville, Arkansas where she works as a Category Manager. The groom graduated from St Philip Catholic Central High School in 1991 and Central Michigan University in 1997. He is currently employed by the Kellogg Company in Rogers, Arkansas where he works as a Customer Logistics Manager.

The wedding was held at First United Methodist Church in Battle Creek, Michigan on May 1, 2004. A reception followed at Brook Lodge in Augusta, Michigan. Honor attendants were Matron of Honor Amy Satterla, sister of the bride and Maid of Honor Mary O'Keefe, best friend of the bride and Best Man Ron Brown, brother of the groom. The wedding party included bridesmaids Kristie Carithers, Rheanna Williams, and Kelly Burkle and groomsmen Steve Reed, Pete Staib, Scott Jacob, Tim Chambers, Jim Keating and Chris Liddell. After a honeymoon in Kauai, Hawaii, the couple is now at home in Rogers, Arkansas.

James and the former Patricia Wright were married December 23, 1954 at The Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. James, a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, was a science teacher at Mesick and Springfield High Schools for 31 years and a chemistry technician at Albion College for 4 years. Patricia, a graduate of Western Michigan University, was a lower elementary school teacher at Washington and Prarieview Schools for 28 years. They are both active members of Lakeview Baptist Church and the Gideons International.

They have three daughters, Linda (Dan) Van Syckle of Battle Creek, Janice (Steve) Fedele of Chelsa, and Leslie (Michael) Horaney of Grand Rapids. They have eight grandchildren. Their children are hosting a reception for them at Lakeview Baptist Church, Battle Creek on Saturday, December 4, 2004 from 1 to 4 p.m. Friends are invited to join in this celebration. No gifts please.

Sarah Anne Hudson and Evan Randall Plush, formally of Hoboken NJ, were married July 4th, 2004, at Le Chateau in South Salem, New York. She is the daughter of Jackie and Randy Hudson of Battle Creek. He is the son of Marcia and Mark Plush of Chappaqua NY. Rabbi Robert Scheineerg of Hoboken NJ Officiated. Honor attendants were Abbey Hudson of Seattle, WA.

and Maggie Hudson of Ann Arbor, sisters of the bride. Lisa Plush of Chappaqua NY, sister of the groom. Darren Plush of Long Island NY, cousin of the groom and Ben Gerwn of NYC friend of the groom. Sarah is a graduate of Lakeview High School and University of Michigan. Evan is a graduate of Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua, NY and the University of Michigan.

The couple chose to combine their last names to form a new last name of Hudson-Plush. After a honeymoon trip to Jamaica, the couple are at home in NYC where they are both attending Cardozo School of Law. Lewis retired from the Federal Center in 1991. They are members of Maranatha Original Church of God.

Their children are: Preston, Brad, Cedrick, Fay, Jo, Cornelius (deceased) and Cortez. They have 12 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, and we all love them very much!
