Ruth Proundfoot won the ladies' singles, followed by Leila Baker and Madeline Farrow. In the ladies' doubles, Pearl Rankin and Esther Parsons placed first, followed by the teams of Jenny VanAuken-Lottie Thomas and Blanche Williams-Agnes Nay.

Paul Parsons won the men's singles, followed by Jess Lucus and Glenn Baker. George Beardsley and Glen Baker teamed to win the men's doubles. The duos of Paul Parsons-Jess Lucus and James Olmstead Lawrence Klipfer placed second and third. Horseshoe Tourney Set for August 4 HASTINGS -The Barry County Novice Horseshoe Tournament will be held August 4 at the Barry County Fair here. The starting time for the tourney is 9:00 a.m.

Monday night first round games are scheduled, Marshall Merchants vs.

Coldwater as Post Park and Bellevue Insurance vs. Holmes Custer Post at Bailey Stadium. Third Round Starts Coldwater must win Monday night's contest in order to capture the second round title outright. Otherwise, Coldwater will have to share second round honors with BC Civics which has finished out its second round play with a 7-1 mark. In third round action, both City Cab and Coldwater, if it wins Monday, will be out the grab the third round title would give the winner a definite advantage in the City League playoffs following the regular has two second round games scheduled this week when it meets Bellevue Insurance at Bailey Stadium Thursday night and then faces youthful Holmes Custer Post at Bailey Stadium Friday night.

City Cab also has two games slated this week, Tuesday's encounter with Marshall Merchants and a Wednesday game with Nashville at Post Park.
