STREAKS, STATS AND NOTES The victory over the Rams put the Cowboys at 4-7, assuring them of their best season since thev went 7-8 in 1987. Art Monk became the third player in NFL history to catch 700 passes, and now has 702 in his 11-year career. Only Steve Largent and Charlie Joiner are ahead of Monk on the all-time receiving list. He also caught a pass for the 110th straight game, the fifth-longest streak in NFL history. Dallas' victory ended an 0-for-6 streak against NFC West opponents, dating to a 26-20 victory over Atlanta on Sept.

25, 1988. The Cowboys return to Texas Stadium, trying to end a four-game Thanksgiving Day losing streak. Despite winning only six of their last 40 games, two of the victories have come against the Redskins. Washington's victory was its sixth straight over New Orleans. The last time the Saints beat the Redskins was in 1979, 14-10 at RFK Stadium.
