ScMi TEXAS CITY Kenneth D. Schmidt, 42, an operator for Amoco Oil died Thursday at John SeaJy Hospital In Galveston. Services wiJj be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Texas City, the Rev.

John Ulm officiating. Additional services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Hurley Funeral Home in Devine, Texas. Burial will be Sunday at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Devine.

Local arrangements are under direction of Emken-Linton Funeral Home of Texas City. A rosary will be recited at 8 tonight at Emken-Linton. Mr. Schmidt was born Feb. 6, 1941, in Devine.

He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the St. -Mary's Men's Club and the Texas City Girls' Softball Association. Survivors include his wife, Beverly Schmidt of Texas City; his mother, Ella Schmidt of San Antonio; three daughters, Amy Marie Schmidt, Ann Marie Schmidt and Anete Schmidt, all of Texas City; four brothers, Joe Schmidt of Texas City, George Schmidt of Hondo, Texas, Julius Schmidt of D'Hanis, Texas and Francis Schmidt of San Antonio; and two sisters, Mary Simmons of San Antonio and Sylvia Schmidt of Tulsa. Pallbearers will be Joe Tambrella, Joe Cambiano, Henry Schroeder, Jim Cotton, Albert Bourgeois and Phillip Ortxmi.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Amoco Volunteer Fire Squad and Mr. Schmidt's co-workers at the Amoco cooker complex. Visitors may call at Emken-Linton after noon today. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Galveston, under direction of Broadway Funeral Home of Galveston. A private rosary will be recited at 6:30 tonight in the funeral home's Memorial Room. Mr. Valenzuela was fount! dead Tuesday at the east end of the Galveston Seawall. He was born April 20,1954, in Mexico.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Valenzuela of Galveston; his father, Dario Valenzuela of Mexico; a daughter, Michelle Monique Valenzuela of Galveston: a stepson. David L. Reed Jr. of Iowa; and a father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.

Jesse Oliver Sr. of Galveston. Three aunts, Guadalupe Robles and Maria Vasquez, both of Galveston, and Michela Lopez of Mexico; an uncle, Manuel Escayeno of Mexico: three brothers, Juan Valenzuela, Vicente Valenzuela and Auyelia Valenzuela, all of Mexico: nieces; nephews; and other relatives also survive. Pallbearers will be Tony- Vela, Calixtro Lopez. Margarito Salinas, Richard Franco, Vincent Vicknair and Napolian Salinas.

Galloway was born May 10, 1912, in Clarksburg, Pa. She was a member of the Texas Avenue Baptist Church and the Webster Garden Club. She had been a resident of the Clear Lake area for the past 41 years. Survivors include her son Robert S. Galloway of League City; three daughters, Jo An Williams and Jeane Clary, both of Pasadena, and Sylvia Corolla of Houston;" a sister, Frances Williams of Houston; 18 grandchildren; and eight great- grandchildren.

Armstrong died Wednesday at John Sealy Hospitalin Galveston. She was born Sept. 9,1933, in Galveston, and had been employed by St. Mary's Hospital. A graduate "of Ursuline Academy and St.

Mary's School of Nursing, Mrs. Armstrong was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Victim Missionaries. St. Peter's Altar Society, Galveston Stroke Club and Galveston Propeller Survivors include her husband.

Robert Armstrong of Galveston: her mother, Frances Demshock of Galveston; four daughters. Kathleen Armstrong, Karen Armstrong. Kristine Lopez and Karolyn Armstrong, all of Galveston; a brother, John Demshock of Indianapolis; and two grandchildren, Shanna Lee Armstrong and Freddy- Lopez, both of Galveston.
