An ordinance to redistrict the Parish of St. Martin into Pollee Jury wards and into Justleic of the Peace wards and to better define the boundaries thereof. See.1 Be it ordained by the Pollee Jury of the Parish of t.

Martin in regular meeting assembled, that the parish of St. Martin shall be divided and are by this ordinance and resolution divided in five wards, with and counting to the boundaries and liner below to wit: Ist ward to embrace all that portion of the territory extending from the dirillg liites of St. Martin and Iberia on tie South from Lafayette on the west and froun the West line of 2nd. Ward, ixed to the junction of BayIe 'rIrtue and ('apeln from that point folhowing Bayou Capucin, to the coulee known as Cypress Island coulee, Then following said coulee to the place known as (Gilbert Amy bridge near lower line of sect. lCYJ then following lower line of set.

L. 6 KN 688 to the road back of the 40 arpents from Teche, then following said road to the government canal then following said canal, being northern limit at orporation of St. Martinsville, to the Teche then following the Teche to lower line of Henry Iittmann then following said lower line to 40 arpents, then following road back 4t arpents to the lower line of G.

W. Banker, then following lower line of G. W. Bameker to the edge of Grand Bols then following edge of Grand to roaul known as the Durand road then following said road to the end of said road, then in a straight line to Lake Round. then followingthe Lake to Bayou Grand Geole then following Grand Genie Bayou to Lake Dauterive then following lake JDauterive to Bayou Portage where the Parish of St.

Martin and Iberia meet. The territory embraced within the described limits is known as the ist. ward. 2nd ward. To begin on Lake Round where the norther line of first ward strikes said lake, then in a straight line to northera line of 108 8 at 3 miles east of Catahoeula lake then in a straight line to strike the West township litle of 9 8 at three miles north of Catahoola lake then in a straight line toreach the middle of North line of 9 SR 7 then due north to northern line ofT 8 7 being south boundary of St Laudry parish then follewing said line to Atehafalaya River.

The 2nd ward comprising all the territory sitnated between thi linle presently desern. het and the parish of St. Lanmdry. Poiete Iberville and iheria. Also all thie territwory houndledl north by Iberia Parisrh A.sumption and St.

Mary on West. 3 .14 ar, The 3rd ward beginning at thl of Bayou Capucin and 'rori, northerni line of 10 5 twhen I due Kast to lower line of land formerly telonging to Sidney Mouton, then Siliney Moaron lower line to Tech, then following the Bayou totothe landof Joseph Poller, then f.ll.,wing laud of Jo-eph Potler to upper line of Brousard, then following upper lineof Albert Brouenard to 40 arwzlati, then following same course to West boundary line of 2nd ward. Martin, to west end of cool Latiolais then following said coulee Latiolain to the corner of Lou LeBlaue land thin following Lou Le Blane to the lower line of Declonet's Magenta plantation; then, following the lower lite of the Magenta plantation to hayou Teche. then following Bayou Teche to the upper line of the land of Mrs.

Felix Brovrsard formerly Vve Pierre Broussard, then following upper line of Felix Broussard to the 40 arpents then in an easterly direction following the bank line of 40 arpents from Teehe to the eastern line of Areade Patin then following t'he eastern line of Arcade Patin to the North line of 9 8 6 then Fast to the west line of the 2nd ward, the 4th ward comprising all the territory North of 3rdward, West of 2nd ward East of Lafayette and South of line presently described between Wards 4th. and 5th. 5th. ward-To comprise all the territory North of 4th ward, west of 2nd. ward South of St Landry Parish, and West of Lafayette Parish.

A plat made by S. V. Martin showing the territory of St. Martin Parish divided in Wards is also acepted as an illustratl of the division of the Parish in wards. Thure being no further business to deliberate upon, the meeting was adjourned.

Versus Toussaint Basqnin and Eugene Moreanu, Ilarville IIlollier, IntervenerBy virtue of a writ of Fleri Faclas in the above entitled and numbered suit and to me directed by the Hon. 21st. Judicial District Court of the State of Louisiana, in and for the Parish of St. Martin dated the 18th. day of October A.

D. 1886. I have seIzed and will proceed to sell at public auction to the last and highest bidder at the Court House door in the town of St, Martinsville between the legal hours on SATURDAY the 19th. day of March A. D.

1887. It being the third Saturday of said month the following described property to wit: A tract of land with the improvements thereon, it being lot No. 10 of a plat of Survey made by 8. V. Martin, Surveyer, having a Snperfetal area of fifty 75-100 arpents; Said lot 10 being a portion of a large tract of land purchased fromnt the Estate of Edward Simon; which said tract or lot No.10, is more fully discribed in a plat of Survey annexed to an act of Sale from Robert S.

Perry to Hervillien Melancon of Record in Book 34 folio 621 under No. 7954 in the Clerk's Olce Parish of St. Martin Said sale to satisfy said above mentioned writ. Terms and Conditions: This being the second and last auction the sid property will be adjudicated to the last and highest bidder for whatever amount it will bring at twelve months credit, the purchaser furnishing bond, with good and solvent security bearing eight per cent interest per annum from late. and special mortgage on the propropes ty until payment.

Out of the prloe of adjudication the purchaser shall have to deduct and pay in Cash the amotant of printing, Sheriff's and CIler's fees which will be stated on day of sale. Sheriiff's OfHice this 23d. day of February 1557. T. L.
