They have always been ex? eluded from the senate, but the house before every session is crowded. They go from the seats and desks of the members to the speaker's chair and the cloakrooms. Some of the elegant new desks and furniture have been marred by those with tendencies toward vandalism, and now they will see the house chamber from the galleries, as they see the senate.

Loud In a New Role.

No one ever believed that Representative Loud of California was a humorist, but he said some funny things about rural free delivery carriers in the debates over increasing their pay. fie was urging members to wait a short time before voting for the measure. During the debate, after saying every member of congress in the abstract was honest and the only thing they lacked was courage, he continued: "I have been lacking in it all my life. I am a coward. Never while I was in the army and I was regareled as a fair soldier did I enter an engagement without fear, and my first thoughts were to seek an avenue cf escape, but I never had courage enough to run away.

Orchard, one of the eldest field men on Spindle Top. He is now field manager fcr the Keith-Ward Oil company, and is fully competent to pass on any wt-ll. I have no hesitancy in stating that your well No. 1 is one of the very best producing wells on Spindle Top and is one of only two out of the whole num-bor of gushers that does not have to be agitated to start it to gushing. There is one well on the field that oy actual measure in storage tank, flowed at the rate of 148, COO barrels in twenty four hours.

1 am fully satisfied that your well is equally as good a producer with the advantage in its favor of not having to be agitated after standing still for any length of time. I have not claimed to be an expert on the flow of oil, but I claim to know as much about Spindle Top wells as any man ia the field. Respectfully, W. H. Gsaham, Oil Wf 11 Contractor.
