The style show was presented by Marlene's Casuals of Stonesthrow Shop Center and feature assortment of beautiful outfits for the holiday season. The fashion commentator for the show was Barbara Pearson, and the models were Tract Broome, daughter of Morlene Broome of Marlene's Casuals; Linda Storey; daughter of Bonnie Storey; Mary Bunkley Joyce Bracewell. In addition, two alternates were selected. The team won positions following four- and-a-half-hour classes In which 62 boys end girls participated In a gun safety study. The testing tor the team consisted of both written and shooting competition. Based on a perfect score of BO, the winners of the Frlendswood Jaycee competition who will compete in area and state trials were John Conaway, 70, Bryan Lunney, 66, Scott Zelt- ler, 64, Rodney Melnor. The alternates were John White, 61 and Joel Gamble, 59. White and Senter had a second competition to break the tie. The team will compete In area competition at a site yet to be determined. Winners there go to state and then national competition as a team. There are four areas in Texas consisting of approximately 100 Jaycee chapters partlclpa- The team will continue training until the playoffs, probably in February. Charles Roberson, president of the Frlendswood Jaycees, said anyone that is a member of the National Rifle Association or a shooting organization that could help in further training of the team to contact him at 482-2997. Roberson said the students ages 7-14, all averaged 26-27 on a written test score possibility of 30 points.
