LAVALLEE, Mary Blanche, 80, 34 Bilodeau Court, April 19; volunteered Paid classified advertising Hardwick. PAUL HERMAN LAFRANCE RANDOLPH CENTER Paul Herman LaFrance, 62, died Tuesday after a long illness, at the Mayo Nursing Home in Northfield. He was born in Brandon, April 23, 1925, the son of Fred and Olivia (Svenson) LaFrance. He was educated in Brandon schools, operated a farm in Randolph Center for many years, worked for the White River Valley Dairies, and for 20 years was a Randolph Center rural mail carrier. He served in the Paratroopers, U.S.

Army, during World War II. He was a member of the Congregational Church at Randolph Center, American Legion Post 9, and the VFW. He was treasurer of the Randolph Center Fire Department, and served on the Fire District Committee. He married Alice Eddy, June 2, 1948, in Brandon. He leaves his wife of Randolph Center; two sons, Craig LaFrance of Los Angeles, and Gary LaFrance of Jacksonville, two daughters, Mrs.

Linda Guiguiziam of Rochester, N.Y., and Miss Lisa LaFrance of Boston, a brother, Maurice LaFrance of Randolph Center; a sister, Miss Pearl LaFrance of Brandon; and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Randolph Center Congregational Church, with the Rev. Edward Fisher officiating. Calling hours will be at the Day Funeral Home in Randolph, Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8 p.m.

She was born in Burlington on July 11, 1 907, the daughter of Pierre and Alma (Godbout) Letourneau. Mary was a member of St. Joseph Parish, the Catholic Daughters, the Daughters of Isabella, the St.

Anne's Society at St. Joseph Church, the Confraternity of Mount Carmel, and the Confraternity of St. Joseph. She was a Red Cross Gray Lady volunteer at the peGoesbriand Hospital. She did a great deal of work with the poor.

Mary was predeceased by her husband. Dr. Raymond E. LaVallee on Jan. 19, 1984, after 52 years of mar-triage.

She is survived by three sons, and 'two daughters-in-law. Attorney Court-land and Annette LaVallee of Williamsville, N.Y., the Rev. Pierre A. LaVallee, pastor of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Vergennes, and 'Roderick P.

and Martha LaVallee of 'Cornwall on Hudson, N.Y.; two sisters, I Mrs. Oliver (Yvonne) White of Cocoa Beach, and Mrs. Charles (Lorraine) Durochia of Essex Center; four brothers, Romain Letourneau of Ben-pington, Armand Letourneau of Paul Letourneau of I Colchester, and D. Robert Letourneau (of Hampton, N.H.; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Adrienne Pillsbury, and two brothers, Gerard and Joseph Letourneau.

ERVIN E. BURT Ervin E. Burt, 68, of 669 Riverside Ave. died Wednesday, April 20, 1988, at the Fanny Allen Hospital. He was born Feb.

2, 1920, in North Harrland, the son of Fred and Jeanette (Sawyer) Burt. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II. Mr. Burt was later employed with the Burlington School Department as a custodian at H.O.

Wheeler School for many years. He leaves his wife of 43 years, the former Mary Sanderson; his daughter, Sharon Whitney of Burlington; six sons and spouses, Michael ana Marjorie of Georgia, Steve and Dawn of Colchester, Greg and Karhy of Colchester, Randy of San Diego, Craig of Burlington, and Jimmy and Vera of Burlington; 13 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two brothers, Edward of New Hampshire, and Herbert of Arizonia; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his son, George in 1 970. Funeral services will be held Friday, 1 1 a.m. in the Salvation Army Hall on Main Street.

Mr. Burrington was business manager with Richard Farnham Associates. He was a reporter for the Hinesburg Record and lister for the town of Hinesburg. He is survived by his wife, Merilyn; two stepsons, Geoffrey Saucier of Nashua, N.H., and Shawn Saucier, U.S. Navy, San Francisco, his mother, Mrs.

Winifred Burrington of Barre; three brothers, Norman of Burlington, Stephen of Barre, and Thomas of East Barre; four sisters, Mrs. Richard (Kathleen) Tucker of Nashua, N.H., Mrs. Peter (Jean) Hommell of East Barre, Mrs. Sherwood (Patricia) Carbee of Barre, and Mrs. Theo (Barbara) Hoppe of Worcester; and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be Friday from 7 p.m. until the time of the funeral, at the Ready Funeral Home, South Chapel, 261 Shelburne Road. CLIFTON PARKER MORRISVILLE Clifton Parker, 81, died Tuesday at the Medical Center Hospital in Burlington. He was born in Wolcott, Oct. 2, 1906, the son of H.

Alton and Katie (Goodrich) Parker. He graduated from Hardwick Academy. Mr. Parker then acted as a clerk for Judge Morse and at the office of James Campbell in St. Johnsbury.

Soon after passing his bar examination in 1 935, he became state's attorney and then practiced with Fred Fleetwood. He not only served the state of Vermont as state's attorney, but also as attorney general, as president of the Vermont Bar Association, and as a member of the Board of Bar Examiners for many years. Mr. Parker practiced general law in Morrisville, and later specialized in utility and rate contracting. He prepared these contracts for many public utility corporations.

He was admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court, the Interstate Commerce Commission, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Parker served his town for many years as a commissioner of the Water and Light Board, as town moderator and as town attorney.

He was a past member of the Morrisville Rotary Club and of the Wolcott Crystal Lodge. One of his hobbies that he enjoyed was that of being a ham radio operator. He belonged to the American Radio Relay League since his childhood. He also became a licensed pilot from the Coast Guard and skippered several boats from Lake Champlain to Florida. He was very fond of music, and played the piano, organ and accordion.

He enjoyed spinning marvelous stories about himself, others and most of the Vermont he obviously loved. Mr. Parker invented a navigational device secretly used by the U.S Navy in World War II. He also designed several radio communications systems for railroads. He is survived by his wife, Florence (Simmons) Parker; four daughters.

Dee Parker Myers of Concord, Mrs. William (Charlotte) Towne of Fairfield, Maine, Arlyn McNaney of Columbia, S.C., and Caroline Parker of Texas; two sons. Dr. Robert Parker of Rutland, and Bill Parker of Troy; 20 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the White-Fiess Funeral Home in Morrisville, Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.

The family will be in attendance from 7 to 8 p.m. The family requests that donations be made to the Copley Hospital or the Morristown Rescue Squad, or the charity of your choice, in lieu of flowers. FLORENCE HAZEL SYMONDS WOLCOTT Florence Hazel Sy-monds, 64, passed away at her home April 20, 1988. Born in Eden, April 17, 1924, she was the daughter of Charles and Catherine (Hutchins) Eldred. For the last six years, she and her husband had resided in Wolcott. Previously they had lived in Hardwick and East Elmore. Mrs.

Symonds attended the schools of Belvidere and Wolcctt and she had also attended the Wolcott United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, George Howard Symonds, whom she married in Morrisville Dec. 5, She is also survived by four daughters, Mamie LaClair of Belvidere, Gloria Jones of Manassas, Linda Bassett of Hardwick, and Lisa Richardson of Barre; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday April 22 at 1 p.m. at the Wolcott United Methodist Church with Rev.

Albert Strobel officiating. The family will receive friends this evening from 7 to 9 at the Holcomb-des Grosielliers Funeral Home, Church Street, Hardwick.
