The Revs. George S. Patterson and Ronald B. Gardner will officiate. Burial will be in the Green Hill Cemetery.

SYLVA Services for Nell Byrd Fulbright of the Ashe community who died Sunday will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Webster Baptist Church of which she was a member. The Revs. Ray McCall and Clarence Vance will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens.

A native of Macon County, she had been a resident of Jackson County for the past 45 years. She taught in public schools in Jackson County for many years. Surviving are the husband, A. D. "'Sol Fullbright of the home; four sons, Bob Fullbright of Brevard, Al Fullbright of Winston-Salem, Terry Fullbright of Sylva and Ken Fullbright of Cashiers; three brothers, Frank Byrd of Hendersonville, George and Thad Byrd both of Franklin; a sister, Ruth West of Candler and eight grandchildren.

The body will remain at Moody Funeral Home, Sylva until placed in the church 30 minutes prior to service. Memorials may be made to Broyhill Baptist Children's Home in Clyde. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Riceville Presbyterian Church of which she was a member. The Rev. Larry Ayers will officiate. Burial will be in the Bera Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home. Black Mountain. Elbert Drake HENDERSONVILLE Elbert Drake, 86, of Route 3, Valrico, Fla. died Friday in a Tampa hospital after an extended illness.

A native of Henderson County, he was the son of the late James B. and Ida Garren Drake. He was the husband of the late Edna Drake who died in 1960). Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Bloomingdale Cemetery in Valrico.

Surviving are a brother, Clifton Drake of Asheville; three sisters, Deino Overhiser of Valrico, Maggie Lanning of Hendersonville and Dorothy Wilkie of Fletcher. New Airline Plans Service Sunbird Airlines of Maiden, N.C. has announced plans for air service between Asheville and Raleigh-Durham. Ralph Quinlan, chairman and president of the airline, said no firm date has been set, but Sunbird plans to begin the Asheville route. The new airline would join Piedmont Aviation and Wheeler Airlines in servicing that route. Quinlan said he would attend a press conference in Asheville at some point in the future to give further details.

Shipyard Worker Perishes In Fire PORTSMOUTH, Va. (AP) A civilian employee of the Norfolk Naval Shipyard was killed and three men were injured in a weekend fire aboard a Navy destroyer undergoing repairs. 'The fire, confined to the sonar dome of the USS Spruance, was believed to have started during structural welding repairs, shipyard spokesman Joe Law said. An inquiry was under way, but arson was not suspected, he said. Roger Dale Morgan of Portsmouth, a ship fitter at the yard, died of smoke inhalation, authorities said.

Tuesday at 7 p.m. Anthony Angel, a 4- member, will give a demonstration and present an exhibit on drug abuse. From 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. there'll be Cherokee leaf painting and face painting. Wednesday from 11:30 a.m.

to 2 p.m. and from 5:30 p.m. to closing, plant clinics will be held. At 6:30 p.m. the Bear Creek Ramblers Bluegrass Band will take center stage again.

At 6 and 7 p.in. the Beaverdam 4-H Club will present a demonstration and at 7:30 p.m. a skit will be presented by the Montford 4-H Club. Thursday's activities include Western Square Dancing from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the mall, electric demonstration by Morgan Branch 4-H Club at 7 p.m.

and a tobaccotying demonstration by the Sandy Mush 4- Club at 7:30 p.m. Friday will feature a goat-milking contest between Buncombe Commission Chairman Curtis Ratliff and Asheville Mayor Roy Trantham. A Reynolds High School choral group will start the day at 11:30 a.m.. At noon the contests begin with a corn-shelling fete at noon, a pig in a wheelbarrow contest at 12:15 p.m. and the goat-milking contest.

At 1 p.m. a luncheon, co-sponsored by the Asheville Kiwanis Club and Farm Credit Service, will be held. From p.m. to closing a plant clinic is scheduled and the Bear Creek Ramblers will perform at 6:30 p.m., followed at 7 p.m. by a soapmaking demonstration by Ida Mae Brown.

Saturday at 2:45 p.m. the Warren Wilson College International Fashion Show will be held. The final plant clinic is from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday. The Buncombe County Horseman's Association will have exhibits in the mall all week.

Also a number of sellers from the Western North Carolina Farmers Market will have sales booths in the mall. DILLON SUMMEY A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Charlie and Hester Swanger Summey, He was formerly employed by Southern Railway and he was a well Asheville merchant for the past 55 years. He was owner and operator of Valley Street Grocery for the past 30 years. A member of the Woodmen of the World and he attended the Church of God of Prophecy. Surviving are the wife, Beedie Smith Summey; four daughters, Earlean Robinson, Leona, Robinson, Juanita Bowman and Loretta Griffin all of Asheville; a son.

Jerry Summey also of Asheville: three sisters, Marcilla McGee of Canton, Ella Mae Reynolds of Clyde, and Marie Pace Pasadena, Texas: two brothers, Edward and Gordon Summey of Canton; 14 grandchildren and 16 greatgrandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Ben Barger Ben F. Barger, 66, Waycross, formerly of Asheville, died Sunday in a Waycross hospital after a brief illness.

He was a son of the late B.F. and Flossie Barger and was owner and operator of the Barger Bakery in Waycross. Barger was a Mason and Shriner. Surviving are his wife, Alice B. Barger: two sons, Ben F.

Barger Jr. of Jacksonville, and Charles S. Barger of Mobile, five sisters, Laura E. Ouderkirk. Martha B.

man and June Groce Asheville, Mrs. M.J. Nelson of Savannah, and Mrs. Richard Helwig of Balboa, a brother, Roger Barger of Asheville; and four grandchildren. Services will be held at 3 p.m.

Young, 91, of Blue Ridge Road, Black Mountain died Sunday in an Asheville VA Medical Center after a long illness.

A native of Springfield, he was a son of the late John A. and Elizabeth Shaw Young. He was a retired industrial engineer from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Fairborn, Ohio and was a member of St. Jarnes Episcopal Church and the AARP. Surviving are his wife, Flora O'Mara Young; a daughter, Jean Earle of Lake Oswego, a son, Richard A.

Young of Anaheim, and a sister, Mary McManigill of Charleston, Ill. Memorial services will be held at a later date at St. James Episcopal Church. Miller Funeral Home, Black Mountain, is in charge. Memorials may be made to one's favorite charity.

Emma Wells Emma Horton Wells, 84, of 13-B Mountainside died Friday in an Asheville rest home. She was a member of Brooklyn Mission Holiness Church and was the daughter of the late Quentin Sudderth and Mary Horton. Surviving are a brother, Kent Horton of Lenoir; eight grandchildren and 14 greatgrandchildren. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Jessie Ray Funeral Home.

The Rev. C.B. Young will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m.
