INSIDE I jftH Television 6 A Tell Me About It 2 WT 'H Thursday, august 2, 2007 Qle lpftilateljftia ilnquirer Bll I Pinky Kravitz, on and off the air, has been Mr. Atlantic City for half a century. By Amy S. Rosenberg INQUIRER STAFF WRITER ATLANTIC CITY This is a love letter to a guy named Pinky. A guy named Pinky Kravitz.

More Mr. Atlantic City than Mr. Peanut ever was, Pinky's an original, the ultimate insider in a town where everyone wants to believe they're the ultimate insider. For 50 years, Pinky (ne Seymour) Kravitz has been broadcasting his daily radio show Pinky's Corner from various hotels, tennis courts, theaters, and the occasional burlesque house, live from America's favorite playground, first on WLDB, then on WOND, first at night, now in the late afternoon, first during Atlantic City's heyday of the '50s, then during the decline, then the rise, the next decline, lately during the resurgence. You're thinking Pinky Kravitz, little old guy at the corner deli, but in reality Pinky is a regal 6-foot-5 he amusingly towers over Sammy Davis Jr.

The play collected six nominations, including one for director Mark Clements and one for the Walnut Street Theatre production. Walnut leads contenders for Barrymore Awards temporary clothing line, Bitten, in June at Steve Barry's stores nationwide. What may get you up early this morning is that Parker will be signing autograph cards and shaking fans' hands at 10 a.m. at the Steve Barry's at the Franklin Mills mall. Today's appearance launches Parker's four-city tour, which includes stops in Cincinnati, Detroit and Chicago.

Time will be tight for the diminutive, curly- (or straight-) maned stylista, as her Cincinnati appearance is scheduled for late this afternoon. So, there won't be any talk about HBO's planned Sex and the City movie. (Darn!) However, Parker, whom we most lovingly associate with the uber-high-end clotheshorse Carrie, will definitely expound upon her latest fashion motto: "It is every woman's inalienable right to have a pulled-together, stylish wardrobe with money left over to live."
