of Eugene; daughter Ellen Fox of Willamina; and sister Pauline Carmin of Douglas, Wyo. Services will begin at 2 p.m. Monday in the Free Methodist Church. Private interment will be in Forest View Cemetery, Forest Grove. Arrangements are by Adamson mortuary, Sheridan.

Ruth Esther Tveit Services will begin at 3 p.m. Monday in the First Presbyterian Church, Salem, for Ruth E. Tveit, 62, of Salem, Gayle and Wendell Dick ZT" a TXrl "Z' Keith and Kathleen Marlette Massey. The best man was Ted Forcum and the groomsmen were Butch Bradley, Scott Zentz and Thomas Dick, brother of the bridegroom. The ushers were Tracy "Chip" Dugger, brother of the bride, and Thomas Dick, brother of the bridegroom.

The flower girl was Jennifer Koogler, niece of the bridegroom, and the ring bearer was Jimmie Helfrich, nephew of the bride. The candlelighters were Tracy Dugger and Renee Schulz. to 5 p.m. today and 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday in Rigdon-Ransom mortuary, Salem. She was born in Cadosia, N.Y. Earl Bernard Judge AUMSVILLE Earl Bernard Judge, 90, died Thursday.

He was born in Toronto, Canada. He came here 20 years ago. Survivors include his wife, Doris sons John B. and Robert both of Aumsville; daughter Madeleine F. Green of Salem; and brother Walter of Niagra Falls, Canada.

Mass will begin at 11 a.m. today in St. Boniface Catholic Church, Sublimity. Private interment will be directed by Virgil T. Golden mortuary, Salem.

Albert M. Harp SUBLIMITY Albert M. Harp, 70, died Thursday. He was born in Waldren, Ark. He came here from Texas in 1958.

He worked 30 years for National Wood Products, retiring five years ago. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Edna; daughters Marian Scoggin of LaPine and Sylvia J. Moore of Bishop, brothers Norman R.

of Atlanta, Texas, James B. of Linden, Texas, and Gilbert T. of Naples, Texas; and sisters Althea M. Belcher of Jefferson, Texas, Dorothy J. Harris of Linden, Texas, and Suellen C.

Bailey of Hughes Springs, Texas. Services will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Weddle mortuary. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Stay-ton.

Mary P. Kirklin Mary P. Kirklin, 58, of Salem, died Thursday. She was born in Portland and lived most of her life in the Mount Angel area. She was a retired home health care nurse.

Survivors include her husband, James; daughters Joyce Anderson and Jeannette Carlson, both of Salem; and sister Fay Abram of Roseburg. Graveside services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 13 in Calvary Cemetery, Mount Angel. Arrangements are by Unger mortuary, Mount Angel.

George M. Stacy Jr. George M. Stacy 60, of Salem died Thursday. Arrangements are pending at Rigdon-Ransom mortuary, Salem.

Tomie Irene Smith ALBANY Tomie Irene Smith, 69, died Wednesday. She was born in Tulia, Texas. She came to Albany in 1984. Survivors include her sons Phillip of Albany, Clement G. of Chino, and Ether David G.

Smith of Illinois. Services were private. Arrangements are by Fisher mortuary. Interment will be in Willamette Memorial Park. Clarence Edson Carr KEIZER Memorial services will begin at 10:30 a.m.

Tuesday in First Baptist Church, Salem, for Clarence Edson Carr II, 80, who died Oct. 8. Arrangements are by Keizer Donald D. Kerns LEBANON Donald D. Kerns, 58, died Thursday.

He was born in Richmond, Calif. He lived in Santa Paula, where he was a sales manager for Sunset Citrus Exchange, before moving to Brownsville in 1967. He worked as a bookkeeper and office manger for several trucking firms. He retired as a bookkeeper from Tiara Spas of Portland in August. He was a member of the Free Methodist Church and the Brownsville Masonic Lodge AF AM.

Survivors, include his wife, Betty; daughters Susan Beaudin of Brownsville, Mary Strasheim of Junction City, Sandra Owen of San Francisco; son David of Bakersfield, and brother Raymond of Ontario. Services will begin at 2 p.m. Monday in Jost mortuary. Interment will follow in the Lebanon IOOF Cemetery. Jerry E.

Peters Jerry E. Peters, 52, of Salem, died Friday. Arrangements are pending at Virgil T. Golden mortuary, Salem. Dorothy Day Meek Dorothy Day Meek, 69, of Salem, died Friday.

She was born in Hebron, and came to Salem in 1976. She was a member of the PEO Sisterhood, including the Salem chapter, and was past president of chapters in Denver, and Casper, Wyo. She was a graduate of Chillicothe Business College in Missouri and was a secretary for oil companies in Oklahoma, Texas, Wyoming and Colorado. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Salem, and was a soprano soloist for church choirs and at special events. Survivors include her husband, Max daughter Mary Ann Smith of Salem; son Kent of Redmond, brother Robert Day of Alexandria, and sister Charlene Beisner of Lexington, Neb.

Services will begin at 2 p.m. Monday in the church. Interment will be in Belcrest Memorial Park, Salem. Arrangements are by Howell-Edwards-Doerksen mortuary, Salem. Contributions may be made to her memorial fund at the church.

Betsy T. Sharp KEIZER Services will begin at 1 p.m. Monday in Keizer mortuary for Betsy T. Sharp, 68, who died Thursday. She was born in Bay City, Wis.

She came to the Salem-Keizer area 37 years ago. She was a retail clerk for the 88t Store in Keizer. Survivors include her husband, Lyle; sons William of Claremont, and Frank of Weaverville, daughter Jeannette Stephens of Williams, and sisters Maude Greiner of Arizona and Vivian Cheramy of Santa Rosa, Calif. Visiting will be from 2 to 6 p.m. today and Sunday at the mortuary.

She graduated from the University of Oregon in 1949. She taught school in Alsea before coming to Salem, where she started kindergarten programs at Our Saviour Lutheran Church and the First Presbyterian Church. In the late 1960s, she received her master's degree in special education from Oregon College of Education. She taught 36 years in the Salem-Keizer School District, working primarily with handicapped students at Salem Heights Elementary School, Hayesville Special Education Center and Walker Junior High. She taught Adult Basic Skills night classes for the school district and Chemeketa Community College for 16 years, and she taught 12 years in the Special Education Resource Room at Whittaker Middle School.

She retired in 1985. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the Marion County Association for Retarded Citizens. Survivors include her husband, Peter sons Thomas of Salem and Peter E. of Beaverton; daughters Yvonne Tveit and Sonja Alderin, both of Salem; and brother Allan P. Kinne of LaGrande.

Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the church memorial fund. Ushers were Jeffrey Barton, brother of the bridegroom, and Scott Torgeson, brother of the bride. The couple will live in Hillsboro. The bridegroom is project manager for Intel Corporation. The bride is an engineer for Intel Corporation and a student at Pacific University.

Ruhl, former owner and publisher of the Medford Mail Tribune newspaper, died Tuesday. She was 101. She took over as publisher following the death of her husband, Robert W. Ruhl, and held the position until she sold the newspaper in 1973 to Ottaway Newspapers. In 1967 she founded the Ruhl Symposium and Ruhl Fellowship at the University of Oregon School of Journalism to bring leading journalists to campus.

In 1975 she established the Robert Ruhl Learning Fellowship at Southern Oregon State College. Ross Barnett JACKSON, Miss. (AP) Ross Barnett, a former governor whose last-ditch stand for segregation made Mississippi a civil rights battlefield 25 years ago, died Friday at age 89. Barnett catapulted into the national spotlight in 1962 when he sought to bar a black man, James Meredith, from entering the University of Mississippi under a federal court order. Barnett returned to his private law practice after his 1960-64 term as NEW YORK (AP) Jorge Dalto, the Argentine-born jazz pianist, whose version of This Masquerade with guitarist George Benson won a Grammy in 1976 and made him famous as a top fusion musician, died Oct.
