Andrews was born Ruth G. Smith on Dec. 19, 1902, at rural Verdi and was a lifetime resident of Saline County. She had worked for Casa Bonita Restaurant and Bruha Plumbing, both of Salina. She was a member of Peace Lutheran MRS.

ANDREWS Church, New Cambria. She was preceded in death by her husband, William two sons, Harold and Bill; and a daughter, Margrlta Andrews. Survivors include a daughter, Darlene Sweeney of Colorado Springs, eight grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Ryan Mortuary, Salina, the Rev.

Eighth. Salina 67401. Rosa M. Brauer DODGE CITY Rosa M. Brauer, 48, Dodge City, died Tuesday, Feb.

6, 2001, at Western Plains Medical Complex, Dodge City. Mrs. Brauer was born Rosa M. Stirn on Aug. 16, 1952, at Salina and was a former resident of Minneapolis.

She was a licensed child-care provider for 23 years and later worked as a life-skill instructor in adult care for Arrowhead West, Dodge City She was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church, Dodge City, and Circle of Hope Cancer Group. Survivors include her husband, Dennis of Dodge City; two daughters, Alicia Brauer of Hays and Krissondra Rydzel of Tescott; and two sisters, Corrine Tannahill of Spring City, and Joan Yardy of Manhattan. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Christ the King Lutheran Church, Dodge City, the Rev. Gib Botten officiating.

Carlson LINDSBORG Rosalie C. Carlson, 83, Lindsborg, died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2001, at Lindsborg Community Hospital. Mrs. Carlson was born Rosalie C.

Larson on July 30, 1917, at rural Lindsborg and was a lifetime resident. She was a retired Lindsborg School District cook and a homemaker. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Lindsborg, WELCA and Westside Club. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Leland L. Shields, in 1977; and a daughter, Diana J.

Shields. Survivors include her husband, Edward of Lindsborg; two sons, Dennis Shields of Lindsborg and Donald Shields of Mission Hills; a daughter, Darlene Otis of Hutchinson; a brother, George H. Margaret Fabrizius, 104, WaKeeney, died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2001, at Trego County Lemke Memorial Long Term Care, WaKeeney. Mrs. Fabrizius was born K. Margaret Deines on Oct.

4, 1896, at Saratov, Russia, moving to the Russell area in 1900. She was later a resident of Minot, N.D., and Denver. She was a homemaker and a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Aurora, Colo. She was preceded in death by her husband, John George, in 1984; a son, Herman; a grandson; and a great-granddaughter. Survivors include five sons, Argus of WaKeeney, Arthur of Hutchinson, Paul of Aurora, George of Carson City, and Richard of Colorado Springs, four daughters, Olga Walker of Minot, Hulda Dorsch of Bird City, Edna Holmberg of Ellis and Lydia Frank of Pueblo, 32 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; and 15 grandchildren.

6, 2001, at Minneapolis Good Samaritan Center. Mrs. Garrison was born Faye Evelyn Bennett on March 17, 1912, at Delphos and was a resident of the Delphos area most of her life. She was a farm wife and a homemaker. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and Presbyterian Women, Delphos, and a 50-year member of Rebekah Lodge.

Her husband, Melvin, died in 1976. Survivors include a daughter, Sharolyn Baker of Minneapolis; three grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two. great-great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church, Delphos, the Revs.

Mr Giles was born April 23, 1927, at Walters, and was a resident of McPherson since last November, moving from Peoria, 111. He was a retired school teacher, teaching at Peoria for 31 years. He was a member of First Church of' the Brethren, Peoria, McPherson Church of the Brethren, Illinois Retired Teachers Association, Illinois Education Association and National Education Association and a former member of Peoria Area Civic Chorale. Survivors include his wife, Erma Ruth of the home; two sons, Gary W. of Elbing and Merle E.

of Mahomet, two daughters, Marianne Peeples of Los Angeles and Marcia Stevenson of Lewiston, a sister, Lorene Cornelson of Modesto, 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at McPherson Church of the Brethren, the Revs. Irven Stern and Chris Whitacre officiating. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, Peoria.

Guilfoyle, 76, Abilene, died Tuesday Feb. 6, 2001, at Salina Regional Health Center Mrs. Guilfoyle was born Mabel E. Baker on June 16,1924, at Durham, N.C., and was a longtime resident of Abilene. She taught at Lincoln School and worked at the Children's Library at Abilene Public Library She was a member of St.

Andrews Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ann, in 1960. Survivors include her husband, William of the daughters, Betsy Neely of Phoenix and Laura Miller of Port Neches, Texas; Bill of Winter Park, and Jim of Manhattan; two sisters, Margot Horacek of Morgantown, W. and Caroline Weaver of Shawnee Mission; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m.

Hansen WHITE CITY Paul C. Hansen, 97, White City died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2001, at Beverly Health Care Center, Abilene. Mr. Hansen was born Oct.

22, 1903, at White City He was a retired farmer-stockman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Blanche; and a son, Howard. Survivors include a son, Harvey of Miami, two daughters, Darlene Eidson of White City and Wilma Manhart of Council Grove; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three grandchildren. 17, 1927, at McPherson and was a lifetime resident of the McPherson-Canton area. She was a homemaker and a member of Seventh-day Adventist Church and Lindsborg Stamp Club. She was a preceded in death by a son, James Vaughn. Survivors include her husband, Jim S. of McPherson; a daughter, Cathy L.

Bair of McPherson; a sister, Helen Curl of Keene, Texas; and two grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Olson's Mortuary Chapel, Canton, Jim Wood and Engel Yoder officiating. Minnie Janzen HILLSBORO Minnie Janzen, 97, Hillsboro, died Wednesday Feb. 7, 2001, at Hillsboro Community Medical Center Mrs. Janzen was born Minnie Foth on April 13, 1903, at Hillsboro. She worked at the Co-op Creamery, Hillsboro. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, in 1980; and a son, Norman in 1999.

Survivors include a son, Jim of Sierraville, two grandchildren; and two grandchildren. The service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Haven of Rest Cemetery rural Hillsboro. Visitation will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Hillsboro Memorial Chapel, 401 S.

Washington, Hillsboro 67063. Anna Catherine Ketter CAWKER CITY Anna Catherine Ketter, 88, Cawker City died Tuesday Feb. 6, 2001, at The Franciscan at St. Leonard 'Health Care Center, Centerville, Ohio. Mrs.

Ketter was born Anna Catherine Cordel on Dec. 3, 1912, at Tipton. She worked with the hot lunch programs at Tipton and Cawker City schools and was a founding member of Senior Center, Cawker City She also was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Tipton, Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Cawker City, Daughters of Isabella and Altar Society Her husband, Lawrence died in 1996.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Lou Heit of Miartiis- burg, Ohio, and Shirley Burr of San Clemente, two sons. Gene of Dayton, Ohio, and Dennis of Statham, two brothers, Lawrence Cordel of Cawker City and Edmund Cordel of Tipton; a sister, Matilda Beisner of Washington, D.C.; seven grandchildren; and nine grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Tipton, the Rev Albert DeSanctis officiating.

Burial will be in St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery Tipton. A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Friday at St. Boniface Catholic Church.

Esther Mae Lark Esther Mae Lark, 85, Salina, formerly of Fort Scott, died Tuesday Feb. 6, 2001, at Salina Regional Health Center Mrs. Lark was born Dec. 16, 1915, at Harrisburg, Pa. She owned and operated Master Printers, Fort Scott, and was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Her husband, William died in 1990. Survivors include a son, Robert M. of Holyrood; two grandchildren; and a grandchild. The service with military rites by Olson-Frary-Burkhart Post 1165 Veterans of Foreign Wars will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Fort Scott National Cemetery the Rev.

Friday at the funeral home. Betty Crawford Loy WAKEFIELD Betty Crawford Loy 88, Wakefield, died Wednesday Feb. 7, 2001, at Wakefield Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Loy was born Betty McCleskey on April 9, 1912, at Kansas City and was a former resident of Elmo, Talmage, Clay Center and Longford, moving to Wakefield in 1998.

She had worked at Gamber Music Store and was a member of Longford United Methodist Church and Longford Study Club. Her husband, Leo, died in 1970. Survivors include two daughters, Kathryn Smith of Coppell, Texas, and Janet Heigele of Longford; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Longford United Methodist Church, the Rev Steve Thaden officiating.

Medford COLBY Loring E. Medford, 68, Colby died Monday Feb. 5,2001, at her home. Mrs. Medford was born Loring E.

Fogo on March 25, 1932, at Burr Oak, and was a resident of Colby for 31 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Lutheran Church. Her husband, Wayne, died in 1997. Survivors include a son, Doug of Houston; three daughters, Teri Adams and Dana Dempewolf, both of Colby and Vicki Barnes of Garden City; a sister, Patricia Willoughby of Colby; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The memorial service will be at 2 p.m.

Poague was born Joyce Lynn Mortimer on June 16, 1945, at Salina and was a lifetime resident. She had worked as a licensed practical nurse for more than 30 years, was admissions di- rector for the MRS. POAGUE Chemical Dependency Ward at Salina Regional Health Center and had worked at the Smoky Hill Rehabilitation Center, all of Salina. Survivors include her husband, George R. of Salina; a son, Danial R.

of Salina; four daughters, Jean Best of Brookville, Michelle Jacobs of Bondurant, Iowa, and Linda Crook and Tamara Trepoy both of Salina; two sisters, Marva Jo Deal of Portland, and Donna Lee Johnson of Lawrence; and six grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Ryan Mortuary Salina, the Rev Harry Tysen officiating. Burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery Salina. Clemens P. Schneweis, 87, San Luis Obispo, died Sunday Feb. 4, 2001, at his home. Mr Schneweis was born Oct. 19,1913, at Odin, and was a former resident of Claflin, Salina, and Clarks Summit, Pa.

He worked for Shell Oil Co. and John Havlik. He was a member of Odd Fellows for many years and Old Mission Catholic Church. His wife, Jane, died in 1958. Survivors include a son, Jim of Kansas City two daughters, Peggy Maness of Omaha, and Pat Morgan of Colorado Springs, five brothers, Herbert and Norbert, both of Salina, Rudy of Columbus, Herman of Mississippi, and Francis of Wichita, three sisters, Cecielia Hemmerlein of Indiana, Catherine O'Connor of Concordia, and Eunice Pennington of and five children.

The inurnment service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Mount Calvary Cemetery Salina. Memorials may be made to Odd Fellows Chorro Lodge 168, 520 Dana, San Lius Obispo, CA 93401. 7, 2001, at St. Luke Hospital, Marion. Mrs. Stika was born Helen Vavra on May 30,1913, at Chicago, 111., and was a longtime resident of rural Tampa. She was a homemaker She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike, in 1988; and a granddaughter Survivors include three sons, LaVerne of Herington, Eugene of Lincolnville and Vernon of Tampa; seven grandchildren; and nine grandchildren.

Friday at the funeral home, 205 Elm, Marion 66861. Emma Josephine Svoboda KANOPOLIS Emma Josephine Svoboda, 97, Kanopolis, died Wednesday Feb. 7, 2001, at Ellsworth County Medical Center, Ellsworth. Mrs. Svoboda was born Emma Josephine Ortiz on March 19,1903, at Chihuahua, Mexico, and was a resident of Kanopolis since 1917, moving from Mexico.

She was a salt bag thrower for Independent Salt Company for more than 25 years. She was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Kanopolis, and a former member of Altar Society She was preceded in death by her first husband, Urbano Perez, in 1947; her second husband, Jerry Svoboda, in 1968; two daughters; and six sons. Survivors include a daughter, Esther Muro of Kanopolis; 27 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; and 18 grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m.

Saturday at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Kanopolis, the Rev. Daniel Scheetz officiating. Burial will be in Kanopolis Cemetery A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Parsons Funeral Home, 307 N.

Zeman OSBORNE Kathy L. Zeman, 47, Osborne, died Sunday Feb. 4, 2001, at Osborne County Memorial Hospital, Osborne. Miss Zeman was born June 27,1953, at Beloit and was a former resident of Valley Center, Pittsburg and Russell, moving to Osborne in 1981. She was a member of United Methodist Church, Osborne.

Survivors include her parents, Charles and Hazel Zeman of Osborne; a brother, Doug of Broken Arrow, and a sister, Debbie Zeman of Oakland, Calif. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at United Methodist Church, Osborne, the Rev. Gary Davison officiating.
