Mr. and Mrs. Scott Schreiner, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Bart Moore of San Antonio, spent the week end in Houston as guests of Mr.

and Mrs. Adrain Moore. A Mr. and Mrs. Bert Kincaid, and daughter were here Saturday, enroute to their home in Fort Stockton, after a visit with relatives in Yoakum.

Mrs. Oliver Hillebrant, who was Miss Seraphia Castillo, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ramon J. Castillo of this city before her marriage on Saturday.

The ceremony was read at eight o'clock mass at the Notre Dame Catholic Church with Rev. Father Kemper officiating in the double ring ceremony. The couply will reside at Comfort. SOCIETY CHRISTIAN COUNCIL MEETS An interesting report of the chairman of the Student Ministerial Club was the highlight of the program of the Woman's Council of the First Christian Church at the meeting held Thursday afternoon in the church. Mrs.

Ernest Wright is the chairman, and donations may be given to her. This will aid in the training of young men for the ministry. A letter was read from Mrs. Lillie Hedges, missionary in the Congo Beige, who is to the States next year. Mrs.

Hedges is the widow of a missionnry to the Congo, and two of her children are buried in that country. She and Mrs. Dowding have been intimate friends sjnce childhood, and the letter was to Mrs. Dowding. The next meeting of the Council will be on November 14, when Mrs.

E. L. Spence will be the hostess and Mrs. W. E.

Alexander wil Head the lesson. 4- 4- 4- Hallowe'en Carnival tonight at hte Tivy Schools. All children in costume are invited to be at the court house at five o'clock for the parade. MIDWAY CLUB MEETS Five members were present for the meeting of the Midway Home i Demonstration Club, which met the home of Mrs. R.

P. Smith in Westland. Two guests wtre also in attendance. Miss Sue Hawthorn, county home demonstration agent, gave a demonstration on pressure coking and preparation of food. Classified Ads gets results.

METHODIST SOCIETY MEETS Mra. W. O. Ward was in charge of the program, which consisted of a further study in the book on "India," Held Thursday afternoon in the church parlors. Mrs.

J. Dee Brown gave the devotional for the afternoon, during the social hour tea wn served after the mode of the country of India. 4-4-0- LANCERS CLUB ENTERTAIN Seogin, Robert Sirker, Schwartzlose. and Cade Schwethelm were hosts at the Lancers Club Dance, whirh was held Saturday evening at Casa de Lomaa on the Frederieksburg Road. An out-of-town orchestra played for the occasion, and about 150 members and guests were in attendance.

USI OUR BUDOIT PUN fiat evey year for 31 ytats MARRIED SATURDAY MORNING The marriage of Miss Margaret Seraphia Castillo, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ramon Castillo, to Oliver Hillebrandt, was solemnized at the eight o'clock mass Saturday morning in the Notre Dame Church, with Rev. Father Kemper officiating in the double ring ceremony.

White carnations and fern were used to adorn the altar for the occasion. Miss Loretta Stehling, organist, played the wedding music, using "On This Day," "Ave Maria," and "Jesus, Keep Me Close to Thee" as her selections. MiSs Esther Castillo was the bridesmaid and Miss Henrietta Amparro Castillo was the maid of honor. The sisters wore dresses of pink eyelet jersey and net. Their hats were of powder blue feathers, and their long gloves were also of powder blue.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a dress of white imported silk, made princess style, with a cathedral length train. She wore a finger tip veil of tulle, adorned with pearlized orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of white flowers, and her rosary. Claude Hillebrandt of Comfort assisted his brother as best man. A reception was held in the rectory of the church, where white flowers arodned the bride's table.

Miss Christine Carvajal served the three tiered wedding cake. Later in the day the couple left for a wedding trip to Corpus Christi, after which they will be at honvj in Comfort. For traveling the bride wore a suit of grey woolen, with grey accessories. The mother of the bride wore a dress of black and white print, with an orchid corsage. Out-of-town guests for the wedding were Missess Carvajal and Florence Hand, San Antonio; Mr.

and Gilbert Melchor, Comfort, and Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Canales, 'remont.

WOMAN'S MISSIONARY UNION Mrs. Vernon Shaw completed he study in the book of Missions Nigeria, at the meeting of the Woman's Missionary Union held afternoon in the church. After the lesson, the members of he various circles met in groups for the rest of the afternoon. During this time plans for the year's programs and various missionary projects were adopted. 4- 4- 4- Christmas Cards, engraved, printed or plain.

See them at the Sun office. FEDERATED AUXILIARY TO MEET The Federated Church Auxiliaries of Kerrville will meet Thursday afternoon, October 31, in the Methodist Church. This is the tenth anniversary of the organization of the Federation. Mrs. Fred Burkhardt, president, will be in charge of the business meeting.

Members of the Woman's Society of Christian Service will be the hostesses for the occasion. Mrs. A. B. Burton will have charge of the program and Mrs.

Byron Baker will be the soloist and Rev. W. M. Logan, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, will be the speaker, his topic being "Home and Peace." This will be the date for the annual election of officers. ROY M.
