Tkt TIMES-REPORTER 20,1971 OOVtMtW fMlAOElPWA. OHIO Services slated for crash victims CANTON Services have been set for two Canton residents fatally injured Saturday morning at 6:90 a.m. in a traffic crash on Route 82, north of Zoar. David Wallace, 17, son of Mr. and Mrs.

William Wallace, died in Timken Mercy Hospital of cerebral contusions due to a skull fracture, according to Stark County Coroner, G.S. Shaheen. He ruled it a traffic fatality. James King, 22, son of Mr. and Mrs.

Victor King, was pronounced dead on arrival at Union Hospital. Death was attributed to head injuries by Tuscarawas County coroner, Philip Doughten, who ruled it a traffic fatality. A native of Canton, the Wallace youth was graduated in June from McKinley High and was employed by the J.C. Penney Co. and Classic Bowl.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Robert and a grandmother, Mrs. Harry Welker of Sandyville. Services will be Tuesday at 1:30 in Scheeberger Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Henninger officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park.

Friends may call in the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9. Also a life resident of Caoton, King was a former employe of Canton Drop Forging Mfg. Co. He is survived by his widow, Karan; his parents; a sister, Vicki of Canton; a grandfather, Harry McMillen of Tippecanoe, and a grandmother, Mrs. Gertrude Gonser of Euclid.

Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Earl B. Jack and Son Funeral Home. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery and calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Tuesday. Mrs.

Emil Johnson Mrs. Emil (Goldie Ellen) Johnsph, 58, of 347 Ray av. NE, New Philadelphia, died of a heart ailment Saturday in her home following a long illness. Born in Hazard, she was a daughter of the late Daniel B. and Virginia Stacey Wills.

A retired Scio Pottery Co. em- ploye, she resided in New Philadelphia 11 years and was a former Uhrichsville resident. She was a member of Dennison Church of God, Dennison Eagles'Aux- iliary and Dover Women of the Moose. Surviving in addition to her husband are four sons and four daughters, Edward F. Haney of Wainwright, Bobby Ray Haney and Joseph Haney of Dennison, Robert Haney of New Philadelphia, Mrs.

Christine Becket and Lula Jane Haney of the home, Mrs. Mary Ann Sterns of Holloway and Mrs. Virginia Gatten of Pennsylvania; three brothers and two sisters, Herbert Wills of Dennison, William Barry of Dover, J. Nelson of California, Mrs. Juanita Engstrom of Youngstown and Mrs.

Ida White of Columbus, 23 grandchildren and a great- grandchild. Two brothers preceded her in death. Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. in R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home at Dennison, with Rev.

Louis Brickner Tuesday at 1 in Lewis Funeral Home at Dover. Calling today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. DUNDEE Mose J. Miller, 64, of RD 2 (County Rd. 160) died of a heart attack Sunday in his home.

Born near Charm, he was a son of the late Jacob and Mary Schrock Miller. A retired crane operator, he had been employed by Republic Steel of Canton. He was a member of the Massillon Baptist Temple. His widow is the former Elmo Shirley. Also surviving are a son and three daughters, William and Mrs.

Ronald (Ruby) Dibell of RD 1, Beach City, Mrs. Philip (Mary) Rangel of Massillon and Mrs. David (Ruth) Kovatch of Sandyville; four sisters, Mrs. Saul Hostetler of Berlin, Mrs. Ammon Troyer of Sugarcreek and Mrs.

Phenice Yoder and Mrs. Simon Slabaugh of Hartville. and 12 grandchildren. Two sons preceded him in death. Services will be Wednesday at 2 in the Massillon Baptist Temple, with Rev.

Bruce Cummons officiating. Burial will be in the Welty Cemetery near Justus. Friends may call Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at Desvoignes Funeral Home in Mt. Eaton and Wednesday from 1 to 2 in the church. Mrs.

Dudley Wells MILFORD, Conn. Mrs. Dudley (Eloise) Wells, 60, of here died Saturday in a New Haven, hospital. She was born in Monessen, a daughter of Mrs. Pearl (Critchlow) Thomas of Pittsburgh and the late Lee H.

Thomas. Mrs. Wells was a member of the United Presbyterian Church at Pointe Claire, Quebec. Her husband, Dudley a former Coshocton County resident, survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs.

David (Lynne) Baxter of Kingston, Ontario, Canada; a sister, Mrs. Philip (Esther) Grana of Pittsburgh, and a brother, Edgar F. Thomas of RD 1, Coshocton. In addition to her father, a brother is deceased. Services will be Wednesday at 1:30 in the Presbyterian Church Chapel at Coshncton with Rev.

John Dance GNADENHUTTEN Mrs. John (Elizabeth Dance, 75, of RD 1 died Saturday in Twin City Hospital following a long illness. Born in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of the late William and Sophia Schreick Kraft. Two former husbands, Leonard Bortner and Chester Rank, preceded her in death. Surviving are her husband, John; two sons and two daughters, Kenneth Bortner of Fond-Du-Lac, Leonard Bortner of Daytona Beach, Mrs.

Cecil (Hazel) Naylor of RD 1, here, and Mrs. Earl (Helen) Hamilton of Columbus, Dance of Columbus, William Dance of Tampa, and Mrs. Forest (Agnes) Booinger of Gaithersburg, a brother and sister, Howard Kraft of San Diego and Mrs. Charles (Clara) Eitnier of Defiance, 20 grandchildren and 18 great- grandchildren. A brother and sister preceded her in death.

Services will be Tuesday at 2 in Botimer Funeral Home with Rev. Melvin Klokow officiating. Burial will be in Gnadenhutten Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home today 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mrs.

Wheeler Judkins CADIZ Mrs. Mary H. Judkins, 93, of 209 W. Market st. died Saturday night in St.

Clalr Nursing Home here. She was born at Flushing, a daughter of William C. and Rebecca Scatterday Holloway. Her husband, Wheeler died in I960. Mrs.

Judkins was a member of the United Presbyterian Church and its Earnest Workers Missionary Society. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. James (Margaret) Wiggins of Scio; a sister, Mrs. Margaret H. Crowl of here; four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Friends may call this afternoon and tonight in the Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, where services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 with Rev. Frank R. Jenkins officiating. Interment will be in Cadiz Union Cemetery. Mrs.

Harold Morris MIAMI, Fla. Mrs. Beatrice Morris, 73, of 3915 S.W 60th a former Dover resident, died Sunday in Greenbriar Nursing Home here following an eight- year illness. Born in Dover, she was a daughter of Frank and Mary Killer. She and her husband, Harold B.

(Bally), who died last Monday in a Miami hospital, moved to Florida 15 years ago from Dover. Mrs. Morris was a member of the Tuscarawas County Order of Eastern Star. Surviving are two brothers, Russell of Akron and Oscar of California, and several nieces and nephews of the Dover area. Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m.

in Lanier-Joseberger Funeral Home on SW Flagler st. Burial will be in Flagler Memorial Cemetery. Roy Schrock EUSTIS, Fla. Roy Burton Schrock, 68, of here, a former Sugarcreek, Barrs Mills and Wilmot resident, died Saturday morning in his home following a short illness. Born in Sugarcreek, he was a son of Moses and Mila Schrock.

He is survived by his widow, Marie; four sons and a daughter; a brother, Jacob of Florida and a sister, Mrs. Cora Levengood of Strasburg. Another brother, J. Albert Schrock of Walnut Creek, is deceased. Services will be Tuesday at 2 in the Paige-Theus Funeral Home at Eustis.

Johnny Bert Recco UHRICHSVILLE Graveside services were held this morning in Union Cemetery for Johnny Bert Recco, son of Bob V. and Sheila Ann Plumley Recco of 216 Packer st. He was stillborn Saturday morning in Twin City Hospital. Rev. Abe Miller officiated and arrangements were handled by R.

K. Lindsey Funeral Home. Surviving in addition to his parents are four brothers and a sister, Bob Kenneth, Ricky, Kevin and Christine of the home, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John (Emma) Plumley of RD 1, Scio, and Mr.

Plane crashes DAYTON (AP) The pilot of a light plane was in critical condition at Dayton's Good Samaritan Hospital today after his single-engine craft crashed into the front yard of a home in nearby Phillipsburg. Two passengers in the plane wre also injured in the crash.

Police said the aircraft, piloted by 52-year-old Robert Wilcox, had just taken off from the Phillipsburg airport Sunday afternoon when it struck a tree and caught fire in the yard. The house. damaged by the blaze, was unoccupied at the time. Census revised COLUMBUS. Ohio (APi-The U.S.

Census Bureau says Ohio had 4.466 more inhabitants last year than it had first determined. Revised figures from the bureau have been sent to Secretary of State Ted Brown showing the Buckeye State with a 1970 population of 10,656,483. The original report was 10,652.017. Brown said the city showing the greatest increase under the revised figures is Youngstown. up from 139,788 to 140.090.

Daugherty of RD 3, Dover, has been transferred from the 385th Military Police Battalion to the Criminal Investigation section of the 793rd Battalion. McCartney's present unit, located in Koblentz, Germany, has been honored as an outstanding unit in "Project Partnership Competition." The project offers American and German units the opportunity to engage in inter- service activities. The 793rd earned its award for excellence for a unit of battalion size. Constance E. Civiello, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene J. Civiello of RD 2, Newport Uhrichsville, was commissioned in the Naval Reserve upon graduation from the Naval Women Candidate School at Newport, R.I.

She is a graduate of Dennison St. Mary's High at Dennison and is a 1970 graduate of Kent State University. BARBARA KORNS Barbara Jean Korns was commissioned an ensign in the United States Navy Nurse Corps in ceremonies in Cleveland on Sept. 13. Miss Korns, a 1971 graduate of Aultman Hospital School of Nursing in Canton, is the daughter of Mrs.

Catherine Korns and the late Robert Korns of 708 N. Walnut st. Dover, O. The 21-year-old nurse will report in January for four weeks of naval orientation in Newport, R.I. Following this, she will assume duties at a hospital in Quantico, Va.

Airman First Class Lyle E. Wikoff, son of Mr. and Mrs. Neil E. Wikoff of Massillon, has arrived for duty at England AFB, La.

The airman graduated in 1969 from New Philadelphia High. His wife, Sharon, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Hostetler of 2020 N. Water Uhrichsville.

Airman Wikoff, an aircraft maintenance specialist, is assigned to a unit of the Tactical Air Command which provides combat units for air support of U.S. ground forces. He previously served at Lockbourne AFB, near Columbus. Pfc. Dan Johnson is serving in Korea with the Army Corps of Engineers' exploration, laboratory and survey section.

He is based at Seoul, but travels the entire country to building projects where his Korean crew tests materials and drills water wells. Johnson is a graduate of Dover High and Ohio University School of Civil Engineering. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Dale L.

Meek of 5118 Martin dr. SE, East Sparta, recently completed eight weeks of basic training at the U.S. Army Training Center in Ft. Knox, Ky. Home ec organized WARSAW Tereu Elder, home economUt with the Ohio Power was elected president of the receittty-organiwd Coshocton County Home Economics Assn.

Other officers are Mrs. Ellen Anderson, vice president, and Mrs. Martha Gray, secretary-treasurer. The group was formed last week druing a meeting in the clothing department of River View High. Membership is open to anyone who has had training in home economics beyond the high school level.

Two jailed UHRICHSVILLE Emmett Lippencott, 57, of RD 1 was fined $106 and sentenced to three days in city jail Saturday by Mayor Robert Croniser for driving while intoxicated. Army ad plea WASHINGTON AP) The Army is asking the broadcast industry for five to ten times as much free television time as it has been getting for recruitment announcements. The personal letter to the heads of broadcast networks cited budget restrictions in the Army's paid prime time advertising campaign. Secretary of the Army Robert F. Froehlke said in the letter that stations "are licensed by the U.S.

government" and "should provide effective public service time to support essential national programs.
