Obituaries Longtime School Man Roy W. Gilbert, 60 Services for Roy W. Gilbert, 60, a longtime Arizona school administrator, will be at 1 p.m. tomorrow in A.L. Moore and Sons Mortuary, 333 W.

Adams. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Park. Mr. Gilbert, of 902 W. Coronado Road, died Saturday in Good Samaritan Hospital.

He was a member of the Arizona National Guard from 1923 to 1929 and was a veteran of World War II. A graduate of the Old Arizona State Teacher's College at Flagstaff, Mr. Gilbert received his master's degree from Peabody Teachers College in Nashville, in 1933 and did graduate work at Stanford University, the University of Southern California and the old Arizona State College at Tempe. Mr. Gilbert was assistant superintendent of research at the State Department of Public Instruction from January 1955 to January 1957.

His first Arizona teaching job was in Miami in 1927. He was principal and teacher in Jerome Schools from 1931 to 1933, superintendent of Seligman schools from 1935 to 1937, and director of the college training school and associate professor of education at Arizona State College at Flagstaff from 1940 to 1948. He was an elementary prin cipal in the Superior school sys tern from 1958 to 1959. From 1959 to 1960, he was superinten dent of Page Schools. Since 1966, Mr.

Gilbert had been school teacher in Bisbee bu ROY W. GILBERT maintained Phoenix. his residence in Survivors include his wife Pauline; a daughter, Mrs. Paul Wheetley; and two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Butler and Mrs.

Irma Scifres, all of Phoenix. James H. Rector SAFFORD Services for James Rector, 80, who died Saturday in Safford Inn Hospital, will be at 3:30 p.m. tomorrow in Safford Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Safford Union Cemetery.

Mr. Rector came to Arizona in December 1944 from Roswell, N.M. He had a farmer since coming to Arizona. Survivors include his wife, Sudie, of Safford; four sons, Bedford and Sam, both of Safford, Finus, of Globe and Comer of Pima; six daughters; Mrs. Alvie Gadburry of Booneville, Mrs.

Mary Falkerson of Safford, Mrs. Maggie Gann of Wasco, Mrs. Georgia Scoggins and Mrs. Mable Gable, both of Bakersfield, California, and Vivian Rector of Safford; 28 grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; one brother, and two sisters. i Friends may call today from 4 p.m.

Caroline G. Friesel, 77, of 2915 N. 47th Place, who died Friday in St. Joseph's Hospital, will be at 4 p.m. today in Whitney and Mur- Susana Lopez DUNCAN Rosary for Mrs.

Susana Lopez, 87, who died at home Friday, will be at 8 p.m. today in St. Mary's Catholic Church here. Born in Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico, she had lived most of her life in Lordsburg, N.M. She moved to Duncan a year ago.

Surviving are three sons, Luciano and Tomas of Duncan and Juan of Lordsburg; three daughters, Mrs. Victoria Quintanero of Lordsburg and Mrs. Angela Gonzales and Mrs. Leocadia Sierra, both of Morenci; 32 grandchildren, and 35 great- grandchildren. Requiem Mass will be said at 10 a.m.

tomorrow in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Lordsburg. Burial will be in Shakespeare Cemetery, Lordsburg. Friends may call in the Duncan church from 6 to 10 p.m. today.

Billy L. Gof Services for Billy L. Goff, 46, of 3016 W. Montecito, will be at 1 p.m. tomorrow in Grimshaw Bethany Chapel, 710 W.

Bethany Home. Burial will be in Memory Lawn Cemetery. Mr. Goff, a machinist for 25 years who most recently had )een employed by Phoenix Mechanisms and Engineering died Thursday in the VA Hospital at Salt Lake City. Born in Andover, he came to Phoenix in 1959 from Dayton, Ohio.

He was a Methodist. Friends may call at the mor- uary after 4 p.m today. F. Trump, Dead at 54 SCOTTSDALE Frederic J. Trump, 54, the founding president of the Scottsdale chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution and president of the Scottsdale Great Dane Club, died Saturday in Ogden, Utah.

He was the owner of Sales Specialists, here and served on the vestry of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church of Scottsdale. Mr. Trump, of 37 Thornwood Acres, was an unsuccessful Republican candidate for the Arizona House in 1952 and for the state Senate in 1954. He lost in the Republican primary for governor in 1956.

In 1955 he was state chairman of the American Cancer Drive. Survivors include his wife, Julian; a son, Frederic J. three daughters, Julian, Penelope, and Mrs. Richard Perrell, all of Scottsdale; a brother, Paul Van Brunt of Costa Mesa, and one grandchild. Services will be at 11 a.m.

tomorrow in Messinger Mortuary, 515 E. Indian School. Burial will be in his native St. Paul. Lena G.

Russell Mrs. Lena G. Russell, 70, of 2802 W. Luke, died yesterday in Maryvale Hospital. Born in Tennessee, she had lived in Arizona for six years.

Surviving are her husband, Richard a daughter, Imogine Russell of Phoenix; and a son, Richard P. of Cleveland. Services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow in Green Acres Mortuary, 401 N. Hayden, Scottsdale.

Burial will be in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Green Acres Mortuary, 5830 W. Missouri, Glendale, from 4 to 9 p.m. today. Carl S.

Francis Cemetery. Surviving are a nephew, Dal- mancia Matulich of San Francisco, and a great-nephew, Dan Novak of Phoenix. Survivors include his wife, two sons, Stephen of 'hoenix and Rodney in Cali- ornia; a daughter, Mrs. Carol and his mother, Mrs. Gladys Morefield, both of Phoenix; a sister out of state; and two grandchildren.

Sibyl S. May for Mrs. Sibyl S. May, 83, of 7642 E. Thomas, will be at 1:30 p.m.

tomorrow in Carr Mortuary, 26 E. Fifth Tempe. Burial will be in East Resthaven Cemetery. Mrs. May worked in the business office of the old Arizona State College (now Arizona State- University) from 1931 to 1959..

She was born in Trenton, 111., and had lived in Arizona since 1920. Survivors include a sister, Maggie Moore of Scottsdale. Appel Was Native Of Arizona COOLIDGE Mrs. Pauline Appel, 87, a resident of Coolidge since 1925, died yesterday in Pinal Nursing Home, Florence. She was born in 1 the now extinct town of Pinal.

She lived in Tucson before coming to Coolidge. Surviving are one son, Fred of Coolidge, eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Rosary will be said at 8 p.m. today in Cole and Maud Mortuary. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m.

tomorrow in St. James Catholic Church. Burial will be in Valley Memorial Park. Harry W. Walker Services for Harry W.

Walker, 78, who died Saturday at his home at 1601 W. Roma, will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow in the Chapel of the Memories at A. L. Moore and Sons Funeral Home, 333 Adams.

Mr. Walker, who was a con ductor on the Santa Fe Rai road for 47 years, had lived i Arizona for 57 years, the las nine in Phoenix. He retired from the railroa in August 1957 and was a mem ber of the Winslow Elks Lodg and the Brotherhood of Railroa Trainmen No. 477 at Winslow. Survivors include his wife trene, of Phoenix; one daugh ter, Mrs.

Nelle D. Driscoll Mrs. Nelle D. Driscoll, 77, of 3315 N. Randolph Road, died at home yesterday.

Born in Centerton, she came here from Ann Arbor, in 1947. Surviving are her husband, James and a son, James. W. of Phoenix. Services will be at 10 a.m.

SAFFORD Mrs. Elizabeth Heierman, 86, a resident of Arizona for nine years, died Saturday in Safford Inn Hospital. Born in Marshall, she came here after living in San Simon. She was a past matron, worthy matron and life member of the Order of Eastern Star in Imperial, Tex. Services will be at 11 a.m.

today in Safford Funeral Home. Cremation will follow. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Catherine Hall of San Simon; a son, Daniel H. of Redmond, and four grandchildren.

Louise A. Sandall Funeral services for Mrs. Louise A. Sandall, 92, a retired cook who came to Phoenix 50 years ago from Iowa, will be at 3:30 p.m. tomorrow at A.
