Former Area Man Killed In Accident A former Connellsville man was killed Tuesday night in an auto accident near Pittsburgh. bnerwood E. Bierlien, 27, was dead on arrival at ua Hospital with injuries received when his car with another auto on Route 22, in Churchill Borough. The victim was the son of Mr and Mrs. John W.

Bierlien, now of Washington, but formerly of S. Pittsburg Connellsville. Employed by Westinghouse in Pittsburgh since his graduation last June from the University of Pittsburgh, Bierlien was on his way home from a business meeting when the accident occurred He was alone in the auto. A 1947 graduate of Connellsville Connellsville prior to being transferred several years ago and presently is with the same company in Washington. The driver of the second auto involved in the headon crash was identified as Donald Kebbel of Pitcairn.

He was admitted to the hospital with severe lacerations and a possible leg fracture. The body of Mr. Bierlien was removed to the Waples Funeral Home, East Liberty.
