Perry Faith F. Perry, 88, of Salem, died Monday. She was bom in Oakhill, where she was a schoolteacher. She farmed with her husband in Twin Falls, Idaho, and operated an egg farm in Washington from 1944 until she retired and moved to Newberg in 1967. She came to Salem in 1984.

She was active in the Methodist Church and was secretary of the World War I Veterans Auxiliary in Newberg. Survivors include her daughters, Marilyn Deane Clapsaddle, Newberg, and Harriet Elsass, Salem; and sisters, Ruth Pease, Napa, Eva Bent-feld, Heber Springs, and Frances Miller and Delia Child, both of Concordia, Kan. Cryptside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Valley View Memorial Park, Newberg, under the direction of Attrell mortuary, Newberg. gon's Own" 234th Army Band and the Oregon National Guard Reserve Bagpipe Band, along with a slide presentation, "A Salute to the Guard." Elenor Winn Elenor Winn, 85, of Salem, died Saturday.

She was born in Branch, where she later was employed as a cook in the Branch Community Schools. She moved to Carlton in 1984 and came here in November. Survivors include her daughters, Carol Bell, Salem, and Cheryl Sonnier, Crowley, La. Services will be private, under direction of Barrick mortuary. Robert S.

Jensen WOODBURN Robert S. Jensen, 83, formerly a resident of Woodburn, died Saturday in Williston, N.D. He was born in Cushing, moved here in 1966, and moved to Williston in 1981. He was a civil service employee. He served on the St.

Luke Catholic Cemetery Board in Woodburn for many years, and was a member of the Elks Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth; daughter, Patricia Hite, San Jose, son, Robert, sisters, Vivian Wilson, Bellingham, Wilma Darr, Big Fork, and Ruth Coulter, Woodburn. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Simon mortuary here. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m.

Thursday in St. Luke Catholic Cemetery here. Contributions may be made to the University of North Dakota at On Dec. 13, 1636, the North, South and East Regiments of the Massachusetts Bay Colony were organized as the first permanent militia regiments. The North and East Regiments are Ruth M.

Mantell SWEET HOME Ruth M. Man-tell, 88, of Sweet Home, died Monday. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and served as a yeoman in the Navy in 1918 and 1919. She lived in various cities in New York until 1970, when she moved to Corvallis. She came here a year ago.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Corvallis. Survivors include her sons, Edward Hicksville, N.Y., George, Quogue, N.Y., and Robert Sweet Home; daughters, Dorothy White, McMinnville, and Ruth MacDonough, Far-mingdale, N.Y.; and brother, John Owens, Brooklyn. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in St.

Mary Catholic Church, Corvallis, and interment in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery there. McHenry mortuary, Corvallis, is in charge of arrangements. Ethel M. Parker Brewer Ethel M.

Parker Brewer, 80, of Salem, died Monday. She was born in Mississippi and moved to Stayton from California in 1955. She later returned to California, and came to Salem about six months ago. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God of Prophecy for 65 years. Surviving are her daughters, Ber-nice Hoffman, Farmersville, Louise Nelson, Tracy, and Wanda Pitts, Visalia, sons, James Parker, Fresno, and Taylor Parker, Salem; and brother, Walter Piltcher, Vanndale, Ark.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Weddle mortuary, Stayton, and interment will be in Loan Oak Cemetery there. perpetuated as the 82nd Infantry and the 101st Engineer Battalion of the Massachusette Na tional Guard, according to retired Army CqIo- nel H. Cmdr. LeRoy Perkins (USN 74, of Tillamook, died Dec. 2. Born in Erlanger, he was a Navy officer from 1934 to 1958, when he retired and moved here. He was a member of the Fairview and Pomona Granges and the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.

Survivors include his wife, Frances; sons, Bob, Monmouth, and Dennis, Branford, two brothers, and a sister. Graveside services with military honors will be at 11 a.m. Dec. 18 in Willamette National Cemetery, Portland. Memorial Mass will be at 11 a.m.

T. Hansen PHILOMATH Genevieve T. Teal Hansen, 50, of Philomath, died Friday. She was born in Comstock, moved to the Salem-Dallas area in 1957, and came here a year ago. She was a waitress.

Survivors include her mother, Sarah Husted, Falls City; sons, Arnold Teal, Yuba City, and Ronald Teal, Taft, daughters, Robbin Gas-kill, Woodland, and Kim Myer, Falls City; sisters, Delores Will and Violet Balschweid, both of Salem, and Betty Thompson, Dallas; and brothers, Everett Lamprecht, Ellensburg, and Boyd Lamprecht, Falls City. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. today and 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Koehler SJ, a Jesuit priest, 74, of Spokane, formerly a resident of Mount Angel, died Saturday. Born in Mount Angel, he attended Mount Angel School and Sacred Heart Academy, Salem. He entered the Society of Jesus in Sheridan in 1933, taught and studied for a number of years in Washington state, and was ordained a priest in San Francisco in 1946. He then returned to Washington, where his most recent work before retiring last year was as pastor for the "Spokane Indian Reservation. Survivors include his brother, Bernard, Salem; and sisters, Vivian Lathrop, Albany, Virginia Salter, Woodburn, and Sister Rose Bernadine SNJM, The Dalles.

Wake service was Monday at the Wellpinit Longhouse on the Spokane reservation. Concelebrated Funeral Mass is at 7 tonight in St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Spokane. Interment will be in Mount St. Michael Cemetery there, under direction of Hennessey-Smith mortuary, Spokane.

Thompson, 69, of Salem, died Tuesday. He was born in Pueblo, and moved here from Hood River in 1954. He was an auditor with the state Tax Commission until retirement in 1979. He served on the board of Capitol Health Care and was active in the Cascade Area Council of Boy Scouts. He was a member of St.

Paul Episcopal Church and the South Salem Lions Club. Surviving are his sons, David, Su-garland, Texas, Warren, Salem, and John, Portland; and daughter, Colleen Ackerman, Springfield. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of St. Paul Episcopal Church.

Interment will be in Belcrest Memorial Park, under direction of Howell-Edwards-Doerksen mortuary. Contributions may be made to the Oregon Heart Association. He taught school and coached in Virginia City, Pendleton and Elgin. He was superintendent of schools in Elgin from 1946 to 1959, when he came to Salem and joined the state Department of Education. He retired in 1976. He was past president and board member of the Oregon School Activities Association and a member of Al Kader Shrine Temple. Survivors include his wife, Edythe and daughters, Gayle O.

He was born in Macon, Miss. He served in the Army during World War II, and after his discharge operated a store in Macon. He later moved to Carlsbad, N.M., where he was a sales manager. He came here in 1960 and worked for the state Department of Revenue until he retired in 1974. He was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church, Monmouth, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include his wife, Elsie; daughters, Cheryl Hockett, Bellingham, and Betty Anne Kolinsky, Saugus, stepmother, Melva Clark, Macon; brothers, Robert and Jimmy, both in Mississippi, and Larry, in Texas; and sisters, Savella Crane, in Florida, and Rita Gay Daniels, in Louisiana. She was born in Eldorado, moved to the Salem area in 1965 and came here in 1975. Survivors include her husband, John; stepson, John E. Bogle, in Louisiana; daughter, Patricia Ann Bland, Aurora; brothers, Robert Sain, Memphis, Texas, Donald Sain, Amarillo, Texas, and Bert Sain, Eldorado; and sisters, Georgia MacWaters and Marie Toler, both of Amarillo. Born in Salem, he had lived in Coos Bay since 1966. He was employed by the Campbell Sturgel Logging Co. Survivors include his wife, Linda; sons, Donald, Darrin and Randy, all of Coos Bay, Douglas, in the Navy, and Daniel, in the Army; daughter, Debora McCrea, Coos Bay; mother, Vernice Carver, Salem; and brothers, Wayne, Gold Hill, and Roy, Tumalo. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Coos Bay mortuary.

Applications for a "Youth Citizenship Merit Award" are open to any graduating high school senior who has "taken an active part in service in the home, school and community" and "demonstrated dependability, leadership and a clear sense of purpose," chairwoman Vi Carter said. The winner receives a $100 U.S. Savings Bond and is eligible for a chance at the regional award of $1,250 and national award of $2,000. The local runner-up receives a $50 bond. Application forms are available from Salem area high school senior counselors.

A "Training Award Scholarship for Women" of $1,500 will be made to a woman, preferably over age 30, who is head of a household or has a family financially dependent on her, Carter said. The applicant should be completing an undergraduate degree or entering vocational or technical training, and "clearly indicate the specific educational training necessary for entry or reentry into the labor market," she said. The winner receives $100 and is eligible to compete for one of two regional $1,500 awards to be granted next spring. Training award publications are available at the YWCA, Chemeketa Community College, Merritt-Davis College of Business, Northwest Human Services, Willamette University and the Mid-Willamette Valley Center Against Domestic Violence. Moreau 55, the commander of NATO forces irr Southern Europe and U.S. Naval Forces in Europe, died here Mondav of a heart attack. Moreau graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1953. He served as deputy chief of naval operations for plans, policy and operation, and commander-in-chief of the U.S.

Naval Station at Subic Bay, Philippines. From May 1983 to October 1985 he was assistant to the chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff. He took command of his posts in November 1985 and headed the largest of the four military regions under Allied Command Europe. Moreau's area of responsibility covered Italy, Greece, Turkey, the Black Sea and the Mediterranean. His command included the U.S.
