Kitty, a longtime resident of Penn Valley and Key Biscayne, Florida, lived for 1 01 wonderful years. She attended the Columbia School of Journalism as a young woman, and was a founding member of the Wayside Questers Club (Antique Studies Group).

Married and widowed twice, to Joseph W. Borden and John H. Reiners, Kitty lived an exciting and colorful life. She is survived by her children, J. Wilson Borden and Joan B.

Stuart, six grand children and ten great grandchildren. Kitty was surrounded by people who loved her and looked after her to the very end. Her burial will be private. Friends are invited to join the family at the Merion Cricket Club at Noon on Sunday Feb. 29, 2004.

He was a lifelong resident of Port Richmond. After Mr. Spiewak graduated from the old Northeast High School at Eighth Street and Lehigh Avenue in 1944, he joined the 1 Ferdinand J.

Spiewak Navy and served in the Pacific until 1946. Mr. Spiewak's life changed in 1951. He married Leatrice Boffa and joined the Philadelphia Police Department. Mr.

Spiewak, who spent 29 years on the force, moved through the ranks to become head of Rizzo's investigative squad in 1972. He was promoted to chief inspector in 1979. The next year, when he became disenchanted with his night-shift assignment at the Roundhouse, Mr. Spiewak resigned. He was safety director of the former Schmidt's Brewery for two years before retiring.

While with the police, Mr. Spiewak, who was a booming tenor, organized US0 shows and sang at military bases and nursing homes, his daughter Constance said. "My father loved his wife, children, singing, and being a cop," she said. In addition to his daughter and wife, Mr. Spiewak is survived by another daughter, Leatrice Malec; sons Fred and John; seven grandchildren; one greatgrandchild; and three sisters.

Garzone 90, the owner of a beer distributorship and two funeral homes, died Sunday at the Central Montgomery Medical Center. He was a lifelong resident of Port Richmond. Mr. Garzone, who delivered ice as a youngster, eventually went to work as a welder at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard a position he kept throughout World War II. In 1940, he met Catherine Err-ichetti, the daughter of a mortician, at a funeral.

That year, Mr. Garzone married her and founded Garzone Beverage which grew to be one of the largest beer distributors in the city before folding in 1980. In 1968, he founded Garzone Funeral Home in Port Richmond and opened a branch in Juniata Park in 1980. His sons run the businesses today. In addition to his wife, Mr.

Garzone is survived by sons Louis, James Jr. and Gerald; a daughter, Antonia Esposito; eight grandchildren; two sisters; and a brother. Friends may visit at 5 p.m. tomorrow at Holy Innocents Roman Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass will follow at 8 p.m.

Mr. Baron, who grew up over Baron's Pharmacy at 36th and Market Streets, graduated from West Philadelphia High School, where he met Ed Baron his wife of 57 years, Ber- nice Berman Baron. He was drafted by the Army in 1944 and saw action in the Pacific. The brother and father of pharmacists, Mr. Baron began a lifelong career as a drug salesman with West Wholesale Drug Co.

Robert Cohn Financial planner, 81 Robert Cohn, 81, of Wynd-moor, a retired financial planner and investment adviser and former veterinarian, died Jan. 30 of colon cancer at Keystone Hospice in Wyndmoor. From 1985 until he retired last year, Dr. Cohn was a partner with SKC Financial Planners in Willow Grove.

As a young man, he had planned a career caring for animals and graduated from Middlesex (now Brandeis) University in Boston with a degree in veterinary medicine. For several years he was a veterinarian in Secaucus, N.J., before becoming a clothing and hosiery manufacturer and later a merchandise distributor in Philadelphia. In the 1980s, Dr. Cohn headed Asset Planning Associates. He was a member of the Registry of Financial Planning Practitioners and lectured at the College for Financial Planning.

He often spoke to professional groups about investments. Dr. Cohn grew up in South Philadelphia, where his family owned a hardware business, and graduated from Central High School. In 1944 he married Selma Tarnoff, whom he had met at a YMHA dance. She said her husband was a master bridge player and enjoyed gardening and home-improvement projects.

He is also survived by a son, Larry; a daughter, Cheryl Feather; a brother; and three grandchildren. Dr. Cohn donated his body to science. A memorial service sponsored by the Humanities Gifts Registry in honor of donors will be held at 1 p.m. May 5 at the Irvine Auditorium of the University of Pennsylvania, 3401 Spruce Philadelphia.
