He was born in Burlington Nov. 5, 1873, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Fagga, and had been a machine operator at the Vermont pool and Bobbin Co. for 20 years until he retired at the age of 81.

He was a patron member of Champlain Aerie, Fraternal Order of Eagles. He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Matilda Bissonnette and Mrs. May Tucker, both of Hartford, son, Leo of South Burlington; a brother, John of Burlington; great-grandchil- 12 grandchildren; 18 dren; three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. JOHNSBURY Paul M. Leonard, 53, of Pleasant St. Johnsbury, was found dead in a bedroom at his home about 11 Sunday morning. A doctor said death was caused by a heart attack. A native of St.

Johnsbury, Mr. Leonard was knewn to hundreds of Vermonters as "Dutch." He was a supervisor in the engineering department of Fairbanks Morse and and sports correspondent in the St. Johnsbury area for The Burlington Free Press. His weekly column, "East Side Sports," was widely read. He was a leader of the Fairbanks Morse Activities Club, a past official of the Fairbanks Morse Credit Union, and active in the St.

Johnsbury Country He was a World War II veteran, having served in Germany with the U.S. Army. Besides his wife and his mothhe is survived by two chiler, dren, Mrs. Paula (Irving) Gray of Presque Isle, Maine, and Paul M. of St.

Johnsbury, a freshman at the University of Vermont. Funeral arrangements have not been completed. Pastor, Dies in Shelburne SHELBURNE The Rev. Seymour H. Smith, 96, died Saturday night at the tome, of his son, the Rev. J. Lynwood Smith, rector of Trinity Episcopal Church.

He was born in Frelighsburg. Sept. 18, 1863, son of Benjamin and Sarah Galush Smith. He had been a member of the Vermont Methodist Conference since 1890. Pastorates included the Franklin Methodist Church, 1890-1895; Swanton, 1895-1900; Richford, 1900- 1905; Rochester, 1905-1908; White River Junction, 1908-1916; Bellows Falls, 1916-1920; Quechee, 1920-1925 and Johnson, 1925-1932.

He was also town representative to the Vermont Legislature from Johnson, and a former superintendent of schools in Franklin. Although retired, during World War II he taught manual training in White River Junction schools. He is survived by his wife, Nellie Wilder Smith; one son, the Rev. J. Lynwood Smith of Shelburne; one daughter, Mrs.

Grace Kinsman of Hallowell, Maine; six grandchildren and several greatgrandchildren. Funeral services will be held in the Swanton Methodist Church Tuesday at 1:30. Interment will be in the family lot in Riverside Cemetery, Swanton. Friends may call at the Corbin and Palmer Funeral Home, 71 S. Union Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.

ALBANS Two out-of-state residents wanted by State Police in with the counts of fraud connection, were brought to St. Albans Saturday night. John F. Connors, 29, of Waterford, and Clarence Martin, 22, of Springfield, waived extradition from New London, and were lodged in the Franklin County Jail to await a court appearance Monday.
