Chamber's Huntin' New Members The' Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce's 'SO-man membership committee launched its annual drive Tuesday during a meeting at the Ambassador Athletic Club LeRoy p. Wallace F. Bennett (R-Utah) who is also a member of the Senate Finance Committee which will consider the legislation, possibly as soon as Wednesday or Thursday.

The measure would extend the sugar act for five years, to Dec. 31, 1971. It. would give the domestic beet sugar industry its largest quotas in history, an increase of 375,000 tons a year over the present 2,650,000. The quota for mainland cane sugar would be increased by 205,000 tons from 895,000 to 1,100,000.

The sugar bill was approved by the House Rules Committee Tuesday and is scheduled for floor consideration as soon as the House disposes of the District of Columbia Home Rule legislation.
