(Sec. 15). Family will return to the late residence. BERSCHLER and SHEN8ERG ARMSTRONG DR. CHRISTINE MEGAN ARMSTRONG, 50, died April 28, 2002 at Presbyterian Village Austell, Georgia.

Christine will be remembered with great love and affection by her family and friends. Her death was the result of a long, courageous and dignified battle with brain cancer which was first diagnosed and treated in 1986. She was an inspiration. Dr. Armstrong was born on Dec.

4, 1951 and graduated from Rye Country Day School in Rye, N.Y. in 1969. Christine was a fine scholar having graduated with honors from Duke niversity in 1973, she enrolled in the Doctoral program in Art History at Princeton University. Christine's 1989 Doctoral dissertation, The Moralizing Prints of Cornells Anthonisz, was considered a definitive work on the prints of Cornells Anthonisz, a Dutch printmaker in the 1500's, it was published by Princeton University Press in 1990. Her career took her to Sotheby's PB 84 auction house and the Phila.

Art Museum as a print curator, in the 1985-86 academic year she became an assistant professor of Art History at the College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio. She was born in Merion, PA on March 17, 1 91 1 the eldest daughter of Ethel Brown Foerderer and Percival E. Foerderer. She attended Shipley School and graduated from Agnes Irwin.

She studied for a year at Babson's in Boston, and traveled for a year in Europe with her cousin, Elsie Foerderer. Most summers were spent in Seal Harbor, ME. She was a member of the Colonial Dames of America in the State of Connecticut, the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Junior League of Philadelphia and Hartford, CT and the Acorn Club. For many years she was an active member of the Board of the Northfield Conference. In 1929 she moved with her family to La Ronda in Bryn Mawr, PA, where she lived until she married John M.

K. Davis on May 20, 1 939. They lived in Avon, CT until her husband was ordered to active duty in 1942 with the U.S. Army. After World War II, they lived in Hartford, CT for several years and then moved to Avon, CT for thirty-five years.

In 1984, they became residents of Duncaster in Bloomfield, CT. For over sixty years, she summered with her family in Fenwick, Old Saybrook, CT. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Davis is survived by her daughter, Ethel Foerderer Davis and her granddaughter, Patricia Kelso Pendergrast. She was predeceased by 2 sisters, Shirley Murray of Cold Spring Harbor, Long Island, N.Y.
