3 Statesman-Journal, Wednesday, March 31. 1982 births obituaries Anna G. Schmidt Anna G. Schmidt, 89, of Honolulu, formerly a resident of Salem, died Monday in Honolulu. She was bom in Arlington, Wash, and reared in Mount Angel.

A home-maker, she lived in Salem for 30 years before moving to Honolulu three years ago. Survivors include her son, Merrill E. Christenson, Hawthorne, granddaughters, Sharon Walling Caswell, Salem, and Sandra J. Bright, Honolulu; and seven greatgrandchildren. Graveside services will be at 4:15 pjn.

Saturday in Calvary Cemetery, Mount Angel. James N. 'Burr' Harding LEBANON James N. "Burr" Harding, 66, of Lebanon, died Monday in Lebanon Community Hospital. Arrangements are pending at Huston mortuary.

funerals today Ernest W. Lenham SILVERTON Ernest W. Lenham, 70, of 209 Porter St, died Tuesday in Salem Hospital Memorial Unit. He was bom in Campbell, Neb, and moved to Silverton in 1936 from Nebraska. He worked in carpentry and heavy construction.

He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and Masonic Lodge here. Surviving are his wife, Gay; daughters, Barbara Shepard, Scotts Mills, and Dianne Huddleston, Salem; brothers, Thomas, Boise, Frank, Silverton, and Lloyd, Garden Grove, sisters, Bernice Martinson, Salem, Margaret Swingle, Bremerton, Wash, and Virginia Busch, Woodburn; and three grandchildren. Services will be at 11 ajn. Thursday at Unger mortuary, Silverton. Interment will be private.

The family suggests contributions to the Silverton VFW post. Alva C. 'Alvie' Burghart Alva Clarence "Alvie" Burghart, 80, of 884 Meadowlawn Drive SE, died Monday in St. Timothy nursing home. He was bom in Sublimity, and lived in Salem until 1944, when he moved to Portland.

He returned to Salem after retiring from Pendleton Woolen Mills. Survivors include his daughter, Georgean Bartruff, Salem; sister, Frances Desch, Portland; and two grandchildren. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Rigdon-Ransom mortuary. Interment will be in Belcrest Memorial Park.

The family suggests contributions to the Oregon Heart Association, in care of the mortuary. Mary R. Sherman LEBANON Mary R. Sherman, 92, of 350 S. 8th St, died Tuesday in the Villa Cascade nursing home.

Arrangements are pending at Huston mortuary. Violet H. Reed Services for Violet H. Reed, 63, of 4747 49th Ave. NE, who died Sunday in University Hospital, Portland, will be at 2 p.m.

Thursday at Corn-well mortuary, Woodburn. Interment will be in Belle Passi Mausoleum. She was bom in Edmore, N.D. She moved to Woodburn in 1920 and Salem in 1970, and also lived for a time in Molalla. She attended Belle Passi Elementary School and Wood-bum High School, and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Woodburn.

Survivors include her husband, Harry daughter, Vicki Holsman, Portland; son, Larry Hillsboro; brothers, Melvin Myhre, Adams, N.D., Clifford Myhre and Albert both of Edmore, N.D, Clarence Moe, Grand Forks, ND, and Martin Bar-stad, Meridian, Idaho; sisters, Myrtle Barstad, Springfield, Mabel Phillips, Salem, Alice Cavin, Portland, and Alpha Nelson, Woodburn; and two grandchildren. Wilbur B. Morlan DALLAS Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Dallas Christian and Missionary Alliance Church forWilbur B. Morlan, 76, of 15190 Ellendale Road, who died Monday in Salem Hospital Memorial Unit.

Private interment will be in Rest-lawn Memory Gardens, Salem, under direction of Dallas mortuary. He was bom in Lanesboro, Iowa, and moved to Dallas in 1935 from Eugene. He worked for Mountain State Power then formed Morlan Power Line Contracting and Electrical Co, retiring in 1967. He was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church and the Masonic Lodge here. Surviving are his wife, Sibyl; sons, Gerald, Independence, and Gail, Dallas; brother, Harold, Albany; four grandchildren, and five great-granddaughters.

Wood, Lorann "Kelly" Lydia Louisa Sears MEDFORD Lydia Louisa Sears, 89, of Medford, formerly a resident of Lincoln City, died here Saturday. Cremation services were held here. Born and reared in Bethel, she graduated from Oregon Normal School, now Western Oregon State College. She taught elementary school in Oregon from 1923 to 1930, in Alaska from 1930 to 1949, and in Oregon again from 1949 to 1964, when she retired. Her teaching career included 19 years in Seward, Alaska, and 15 years in Lincoln City.

She moved to Medford last year. She was a member of the Grange and Ocean Spray Garden Club in Lincoln City, the Alaska Club of the Willamette Valley, Sons and Daughters of Oregon Pioneers and the Re-bekah Lodge. Survivors include her brother, Thomas Medford; sister, Carmen Ericson, Lincoln City; five nephews, and two nieces. Contributions to the Polk County Historical Society, P.O. Box 67, Monmouth, Ore.

97361, are suggested. Lorene Girrard DALLAS Lorene Girrard, 53, of 348 W. Ellendale died Monday in Santiam Memorial Hospital, Stayton. She was born and reared in Kings Valley, and moved to Dallas in 1964. Surviving are her sisters, Muriel Hord, Lillie Matsler and Nica Gish, all of Dallas, Leone Wenzel, Scio, and Judy Stephon, Bay City.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Kings Valley Cemetery. Contributions to the Oregon Arthritis Association, in care of Bollman mortuary, Dallas, are suggested. Willamina Carolina Cole Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Howell-Edwards-Doerksen mortuary for Willamina Carolina Cole, 67, of 1702 Cole Road who died Monday at home.

Interment will be private. A lifelong resident of Salem, she was a member of the First Evangelical Church of North America. Contributions to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 189 Liberty St. NE, Salem, Ore. 97301, are suggested.

Felix C. Mendiola AUMSVILLE Felix C. Mendiola, 76, of Aumsville, died Tuesday in Santiam Memorial Hospital He was born in Rota, in the Mariana Islands, and came here two years ago from Saipan. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Stayton. Survivors include his children, Maria Cruz, Lompoc, Fidelia Calvo, Aumsville, Fermina Apuron and Teresita Tudela, both of Guam, Rosita Calvo, Bremerton, Lucia Scott, Turner, Silvestre Mendiola, Guam, Felix Mendiola, Salinas, Martin Mendiola, Guam, and Otton Mendiola, Fort Lewis, brothers, Thomas, Rota, Filipe, Tinian, Mariana Islands, and Pedro, Ponape, Eastern Caroline Islands; sisters, Maria Mendiola, Rota, Sabina Calvo, Rota, and Rosa Atalig, Guam; 54 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

Rosary will be at 8 p.m. today at Weddle mortuary, and Mass at 9:45 a.m. Thursday in Immaculate Conception Church. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Rozella Marie Holland Memorial services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the First Church of the Nazarene for Rozella Marie Holland, 46, of Madras, who died Sunday in Mountain View Hospital there. She was a waitress. She moved to Madras two years ago from Salem. Survivors include her husband, Donald Allen; daughters, Kimberley Ann, Madras, and Tana and Tama Bouvia, both of Salem; sons, Mark Christopher and James Bouvia, all of Salem; stepsons, Allen E.

She worked in Oregon State University's poultry science department for 23 years until her retirement last year. Survivors include her husband, Robert son, Robert Lebanon; daughters, Janice Mears and Marsha Galloway, both of Albany, and Cheryl Hanson, Corvallis; and seven grandchildren.
