Public sentiment in this section ia very strong in favor of tho Soco Gap road. The question of the road via Cataloochce to Newport ns well ns the proposed road to Newport in now up to the Haywood County Commissioners. A definite decision as to exactly what support they can give the proposition could not bn reached yesterday because of the absence of two of the commissioners due to illness. However.
