Brietzke was born in Texas, came to Eastern Oregon as a young man and operated a streetcar in Salem before moving to a farm southwest of Monitor. He returned to Salem in 1937 and was a self-employed painter. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. Brietzke and his wife, Mary, celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary Monday.

Besides the widow, he leaves a daughter Leona E. Hardy of Salem, sister Eda Allen of San Francisco, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Father Galen Onsted will officiate. The family suggests contributions to Oregon Heart Association. Pierce was born in Butte, but came to Southern Oregon at the age of 2 with his parents. He graduated from Salem High School in 1917 and served in the military in World Wars I and II. He was a construction foreman at the old Oregon Pulp Paper Co.

and for many years a peach grower in the Keizer area north of Salem. He lived in Waldport from 1963 until 1969 when he came to Aumsville. He was a member of American Legion and the Pulp and Paper workers union. He is survived by widow Margaret; daughters Lois Evans, Garibaldi, and Betty Draayer, Topeka, six grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren. Nelson Lee Butcher ALBANY Services will be 10:30 a.m.

Thursday at Hill Street Church of God for Nelson Lee Butcher, 75, Rt. 2, Box 104, who died Monday. Rev. Paul Shires and Rev. Wiley Lykins will officiate.

Interment will be in Willamette Memorial Park. AAsum mortuary is in charge. Butcher was born in Wil-burton, Ark. and raised in Jumbo, Okla. He was a logger and sawmill worker most of his life.

In 1960 he came to Albany. He worked on farms until 1968. Surviving are widow Mary; sons Raymond, Pomona, Hoy, Burkbur-nett, Doyle, Bethany, and Richard, Parris, daughters Mrs. Henry Jones, Hugo, Mrs. Jerry Brazzell, Wolf Creek, and Mrs.

IS KITCHEN PRINT 1 lo3 Minnie McCourt ALBANY Minnie McCourt, 306 N. Oak retired Albany teacher, died Wednesday in an Albany hospital. She was 96. Miss McCourt was born in California. She came to Salem in the 1880s and taught school in Alsea and Albany.

She was principal at Madison School in Albany before she retired in 1943. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church Guild and Modern Travelers. Surviving are sisters Edith McCourt, Albany, Frances McCourt, Los Angeles, and Gladys Murray, Alhambra, Calif. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at AAsum mortuary.

Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to the church memorial fund.
