Mrs. Mary Jane Bergman, health commissioner, said that the city department has not been contacted in any way concerning further discussion on a merger. The opinion of the board remains unchanged, with board members feeling that city residents must be offered more than they have been in the past to make it worth the expense of merger, according to Mrs. Bergman. The advisory board recommended that some way be found to inform the citizens that the city health department and the advisory board have cooperated to the fullest in this matter.

Kenneth Ferrell, receiver for Midvale Coal and Rodman Thompson of Midvale. The agreement provides that Thompson may lease 58 items of equipment from the former mining company for $61,075. The equipment will be used at the Ana Mine at Midvale by the Seven Range Mining Corp. Total rental payment must be made within four years at a rate of 10 cents per ton of coal, mined at the Ana Mine.

Thompson, through either Seven Range or Dundee Coal also will pay an additional 25 cents per ton to the receiver for the coal mined. Each year the U. S. government sends more than 400 agricultural scientists overseas to work at major research centers and in specific projects aimed at reducing crop and livestock diseases, and increasing productivity through soil conservation and irrigation. Mohawk club appreciation dinner held MALVERN Mrs.

John (Dolores) Hudson, past president of Lake Mohawk Junior Women, was presented a gift and past officers received roses from Mrs. William (Barbara) Balough, vice president, during the appreciation dinner in Little Forest Inn. Arrangements were handled by new officers. A workshop was held in the beach clubhouse to instruct new members on the home-, made Easter candy making project. Mrs. Gerry Abel will present a program on cake decorating. Members voted to donate $25 to the Friends of the Library when American Legion Auxiliary met for a covered dish luncheon. A discussion was held on cosponsoring two girls from the local high school to Buckeye Girls State. Mrs.

Bertha Richards will handle applications. FREE SKI LESSONS Learn to ski the fun way with the Graduated Length Method using short 3' skis. The Atwood Ski Slope is sponsoring a "Learn to Ski" program for beginners or novices. The School will be held Monday through Friday with free lessons available from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The films are: "Canals Towpath West," the adventure of muledrivers on the Chesapeake and Ohio canals; "Earth in Change: Earth's Crust," a geology film describing the constant change of lands, and "The Seasons," depicting the four seasons on a farm in Pennsylvania Dutch country.

The center is one mile west of here on Rt. 250. The interpretive building is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.

Trails are open daily from dawn to dusk. Young couples of United Methodist Church will go bowling Saturday night, meeting at the church at 7. Interested persons should contact Mrs. Roscoe Bair or Mrs. Jack Irwin.

The nursery will be reinstated in the church annex during Sunday worship. Directing will be Mrs. Joseph Schiebe and Mrs. Fred Helline. Junior choir practice time has been changed to the first and third Thursday of each month at 4 p.m.

Custer Tent, Daughters of Union Veterans, meet Monday night at 8 in the home of Mrs. Myron Parlett. Plans will be formulated for the annual Lincoln banquet, sponsored by the group.

The forestry tour at the E. A. Mizer farm has been rescheduled for Wednesday at 9 a.m.The event issponsored by the Harrison Soil and Water Conservation District. Harrison SWCD received a superior award as part of the distinctive service-Goodyear conservation awards program at the 32nd annual meeting of the Ohio federation in Columbus. Sixty-eight Ohio districts rated superior, 15 excellent and five good.

E. H. West, supervisor for the district, accepted the award as Harrison District delegate. Others attending were Mrs. Mary Black, office secretary, and Earl C.
