Anderson, 57, spent his regular work days, plus evenings and Saturdays, building the classroom. In all, he put in 936 hours of work which, had he been salaried, might have brought him more than $3,600. He's philosophical about lost wages. "It had to be done," he says.

"I'm the father of seven children, but they've all grown up and moved away. Now I just care for my wife and two foster sons." Because he put in one final day on the finishing touches last Wednesday, Anderson lost his turn at his union's hiring hall and missed a chance for a steady job over the next seven months. Work Uncertain He's now faced with obtaining work on a day-to-day basis until his term for steady employment comes up again in three or four weeks. The 41st Infantry Brigade (SRF), which will train at Yakima during the same period, will include 1st Battalion 162nd Infantry based in Forest Grove, with units in Forest Grove, Tillamook, Lebanon, Corvallis, Hillsboro, McMinn-ville and Eugene; and Troop 82nd Cavalry, Woodburn. Salem Unit Largest The largest unit training in July at Camp Rilea will be the 3rd Automatic Weapons Battalion 249th Artillery, headquarters in Salem, with units from Salem, Coos Bay, Albany, Newport, Medford and Lake Oswego. Assisting at this camp will be a portion of the Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 115th Public Information Detachment and 110th Signal Company (Construction), all of Salem. June 10 to 24.
