Haley tribute Bill Haley Jr. and the Comets have been gigging in the area. The group, formed by the son of late "Rock Around the Clock" singer Bill Haley, who lived in Boothwyn, performs a rock 'n' roll-history show featuring his father's hits and other music from the 1950s.

The Pottstown-based group features Haley on guitar and vocals, with musicians Mike Denaro, Bobby Michaels, Rich Flamini, and Christopher Davis-Shannon. Haley intersperses his father's hits, which also include "Shake, Rattle, and Roll," and "See You Later, Alligator," with anecdotes about the group. Haley told us that he grew up playing music as a hobby but that after a video surfaced on You-Tube of him and some friends playing "Rock Around the Clock," he was contacted by a manager and put his band together.
