SIMPSON, Interpreting the War News Speculation runs riot over the reported Nazi troop concentrations from the Baltic to the Black Sea near Russian borders but it seems improbable that a German-Soviet clash is impending. There is some confirmation of the reports to be found in the Hitler-Mussolini agreement that Italy take over from the Nazis the garrisoning of conquered Greece. That followed Rome's announcement of the withdrawal of Nazi air forces from Sicily.

Obviously German troops are being redistributed in the Balkans and probably in Poland and elsewhere along the eastern frontiers of the German Reich. It is also altogether probable that these shifts correspond to Berlin's plans for the next major Nazi move against Britain in the east, whether it be via North Africa, Cyprus, Syria or Turkey. Mrs. Walford T. Rees, president of the auxiliary, made this clear yesterday in a statement which she considered closed the incident arising over the asser change that agreement on account of petty unwarranted attack on her by Rep.

G. Austin Dies At St. Albans Special to the Free Press ST. ALBANS, June 12. Mrs.

Anne M. (Robinson) Austin, widow of Chauncey G. Austin and mother of U. S. Senator Warren R.

Austin of Burlington, died this afternoon in her home at 91 South Main st. following a lingering illness. Mrs. Austin was born June 17, 1847, in Swanton, daughter of Hon. Warren Robinson and Mary Mears Robinson.

She was married May 8. 1874, to Chauncey Goodrich Austin, who later became a successful Franklin county attorney and who died in May, 1926. The greater part of their life was spent at Highgate where six children were born to them. Three daughters died in early youth and three sons, who survive her. About 20 years ago they moved to this city.

Mrs. Austin was deeply interested during her entire life in arts, much time in her younger days to painting and music. For years she sang in the choir of the Congregational church in Highgate. Her love of beauty was manifested in her devotion to her flower garden, which was her great joy and in which she worked untiringly until within a year or so ago. Although 94 years of age she retained all her faculties until her last illness and took a keen interest in national affairs.

She was a member of the First Congregational church in this city, the Autonoe club, and Watchful circle of King's Daughters and a charter member of the Chapin Literary club, in which she took active interest throughout the entire period of its existence as an organization. Mrs. Austin leaves three sons, United States Senator Warren Robinson Austin of Burlington; Chauncey Goodrich Austin, of Chicago; and Roswell Mears Austin of this city; also six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held at her late home Saturday morning at 10:30. DST, -with the Rev.
