Coverec nua THE TERRE HAUTE TRIBUNE-STAR TERRE HAUTE, INDIANA A REFLECTION OF THE PAST-Billie Creek Village, located east of Rockville on U.S. 36, is a recreation of an Indiana village as it appeared at the turn of the century. PAfeKE COUNTY ARTISTS display their work, much of which shows the beauty of the county, in an exhibit in the courthouse. A SCHOOLHOUSE AT MECCA, built in 1874, is one of the sites toured during the festival. MEED A BROOM? Ernest Stewart and Melvin Cook make straw brooms as part of the crafts demonstration at the festival.

Numerous are made and sold during the festival. JQSfDALE AMERICAN LEGION tempts visitors with its racks of charcoal grill chicken. Two hundred broilers are cooked at a time and the turning and basting of the food is an interesting sight. (Additional pictures on Page 6).
