Francis Xavier Church, La Grange. Mr. Doonan died Sunday in Community Memorial Hospital, La Grange. He was a Social Security administrator in the Midwest from 1935 to 1951. Previously, he managed the foreign trade department of Central Trust and opened offices for the United States Department of Commerce in San Francisco, St.

Louis and Chicago. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Bernard T. Martin and David H. Read; two sons, George T.

and Frank and 23 grandchildren. Benedict A. Zajeski Obituaries Mrs. Helen Sadowski Mass for Mrs. Helen R.

Sadowski, 85, of 3044 N. Monticello will be said at 10 a. m. tomorrow in St. Hyacinth Catholic Church, 3631 W.

George St. She retired eight years ago as proprietor of the Sadowski Funeral Home, 3642 W. George now the Benrus Funeral Home. Mrs. Sadowski died Sunday in a convalescent home in Mundelein.

She and her late husband, Frank, founded the Sadowski Funeral Home in 1909. Surviving two sons, Thaddeus and Frank two daughters, Mrs. Emily Szos and Mrs. Marion Nied; three grandchildren; and seven Mrs. Bernard Shulman Mrs.

Brina W. Shulman, 71, of 420 W. Belmont died yesterday in a private home at 895 Tower Winnetka. Mrs. Shulman was addressing Havassah, a group established to raise funds for Israel, when she suffered an apparent heart attack.

She was past, president of group. Mrs. Shulman is survived by her husband, Bernard; and one sister. Services will be held at 1 p. m.

tomorrow in the chapel at 1300 W. Devon Av. Henry T. Pygon Henry T. Pygon, 53, of 11701 S.

Campbell died in his home yesterday. For the last 15 years he was a foreman with the 18th ward Bureau of Sanitation office. Surviving are his widow, Clara; a son, Bernard; a daughter, Mrs. Joyce Portock; and six grandchildren. Mass will be said at 10 a.

m. tomorrow in St. Walter's Catholic Church, 118th Street and South Western Avenue. Edwin A. Howard Memorial mass for Edwin A.

Howard, 73, of 3017 E. 78th a retired engineer for the city Bureau of Engineering, will be said at 10:30 a. m. Thursday in St. Bride's Catholic Church, a a a a 78th Street and Coles Avenue.

Mr. Howard died Sunday in Billings Hospital. He retired in 1967. Survivors are his widow, Louise; daughter, Mrs. Patricia Linden; and four grandchildren.

Richard J. Fitzpatrick Richard J. Fitzpatrick, 67, of 2009 S. Loomis died yesterday in American Hospital. He had operated a janitor's service at the Merchandise Mart for 26 years.

Surviving are two sons, Richard and John: and four daughters, Mrs. Rose Spal, Mrs. Ann Skala, Mrs. Amelia Doanke, and Miss Ann Fitzpatrick. Mass will be said at 9:30 m.

Cahill, 70, of 7344 N. Ridge died yesterday in St. Francis Hospital, Evanston. Surviving are her husband, Lawrence one daughter, Mrs. Robert W.

B. Strom Associates, insurance brokerage at 175 W. Jackson died yesterday in Sherman Hospital, Elgin. Surviving are his widow, Gladys, and daughter, Mrs. Cindy Bryniarski.

Mary Wieger and Mrs. Ruth Funk; and two aunts. Axel J. Nelson Axel J. Nelson, 88, a former Park Ridge resident, died yesterday in West Palm Beach, Fla.

Mr. Nelson was an under. writer for 55 years with the Hanover Insurance Co. in Chicago. Surviving are his widow, Sadye; a son, Robert; a daughter, Dorothy Olsen: and a grandson.

Services will be held Thursday in West Palm Beach. Edwin Lederer Edwin Lederer, 84, of 3514 1 W. Potomac a retired engraver and stationer, died yesterday in Park Ridge nursing home. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Frances Hall; a son, Edwin a sister; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 p. m. Thursday in the chapel at 4255 W. Division St. Mrs.

John Cook Mrs. Laura Ellen Cook, 57, of 2304 Simpson Evanston, died yesterday in St. Francis Hospital, Evanston. She is survived by her husband, John; her mother, Mrs. Ellen C.

Zajeski, 75, of 12157 S. Yale a steel company executive, died yesterday in Little Company of Mary Hospital. Mr. Zajeski was founder and board chairman of Aetna Engineering Works, a structural steel fabricating firm at 12001 S. Calumet Av.

He went into the steel business in 1956 after operating a coal yard at the same address for 30 years. Surviving are his widow, Wanda; three sons, Daniel Robert B. and Benedict James; and five sisters. Mass will be said at 10 a. m.

Clarence W. Westfall Services for Clarence W. Westfall, 73, of 716 N. State a funeral director in Chicago for more than 50 years, will be held at 1 p. m.

Thursday in the chapel at 6222 N. Broadway. Mr. Westfall died St. Francis Hospital, Evanston.

He was the owner of the Westfall-Chute Funeral Home, 716 N. State St. Survivors are his widow, Edna; two sons, Francis and Donald; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Ann O'Meara; a sister; and nine grandchildren. Carillon Player at U.of C.

Dies Services will be held today in Emporia, for Daniel A. Robins, 33, whose piaying of the carillons at the University of Chicago's Rockefeller Memorial Chapel became a fixture of campus life during the 1960s. He died Friday in New York City. Mr. Robins was named carillonneur of the chapel in 1960 at the age of 23.

He held the post until 1969 when he moved to New York. Studied in Netherlands As a graduate of the University of Kansas, Mr. Robins left the United States for the Netherlands where he attended the Dutch National Carillon school. He completed a fouryear course of study in just one year. In the summer of 1960 he toured Europe, appearing as guest carillonier recitalist on 20 carillons.

He was a prize winner in international competition and performed before the Royal Palace in Rotterdam. Few Full-Time Players There are only a few more than 100 carillons in the United States and Mr. Robins was one of a handful of people who play them on a full-time basis. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs.

John W. Robins of Topeka, two sisters, and several nieces. Deaths Elsewhere Dr. Raymond Walters, 85, president of the University of Cincinnati for 23 years until his retirement in 1955; added 15 buildings to the campus during his tenure, longest of any president at the university; author of four books on musical and educational subjects and more than 375 articles; in Cincinnati. Jim Harkins, 82, a vaudeville comedian known as Uncle Jim who worked as studio manager for both Red Skelton and Fred Allen and contributed to several of Allen's scripts; later served as a talent scout until his retirement in 1968; in Media, Pa.

James Milley Herder, 66, former publisher of The Telegram in St. John's, N. and The Western Star in Corner Brook, N. former director of The Canadian Press and the Canadian Daily Newspaper Publishers Association; in St. John's.

John Hines, 72, former actor who began his career on the New York stage and later played in comedy roles in short silent pictures at Paramount and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer studios; of a heart attack, in Los Angeles. Owen R. Cheathan, 68, foundretired chairman of Georgia corporation; of a heart attack while attending a football game, in Eugene, Ore. Bennett George E. Bennett, beloved husband of Mary; devoted father of George Joseph, Robert, Mary Kolo, Jerome, Nona Sheff, Edward, Patricia Choinacki and Joann Maliska; grandfather of 22; five great-grandchildren.
