Total .0 Tho Hoard has decided to thoroughly overhaul ami repair the pavilion Tho outside sills of the building are found to be entirely decayed and worthless, and theiottieers yesterday made an examination, decided to have ik'W sills placed under it. and the foundation put in better shape.

Oi the west side an addition -will be erected, 00 feet videand SO feet long, joining tho main building at 'tho point where the band, stand as. now located. This building will' have an 'oval ceiling, with a slightly sloping floor, a stage provided with necessary dressing rooms at the west cud, mid the roof wijl be self-supporting, so as to obviato the necessity of columns in the hall, thus making out of it. in effect. an auditorium.

The walk or platform surrounding the pavilion will be entirely rebuilt out of first-class lumber, except on the west side, where that portion of tho platform south of the proposed addition -will be taken up, and a new platform or walk will be erected on tuo south end of the main building from the south entrance to the ladies' dressing rooms. The entire pavilion will be repaired and placed in excellent condition, so far as the appropriation available will permit of it. A new maehineiy- hall, 44x00 feet, will bo erected across the walk from old machinery hall. betwet-nthe office building and the main gate. For this purpose was appropt iat.nl.

The building will be placed on a concrete foundation so that it will stand for years. A cottage will bo erected for tho use of the farmer residing on the grounds. The new building will be erected on the site now occupied by the old cottage. A creamery building costing about $700 is to be erected near the maiu office building in which creamery ami dairy products and machinery will be exhibited during the fair. The structure will be fitted up in the most modern style "and best manner' possible, and the exhibits placed therein will be tho most Important attraction for many of the visitors of the fair.

One hundred sheep pens. 00 ling pens and SO. cattle stalls will be erected to accommodate the increased exhibits of stock. Tho poultry house will be skylights placed lit the roof, and this department provided with other Conveniences. One mile of new fence will be built, and the entire 'system of buildings and fences oveVlmidod.

The old wooden sidewalk from the Fair Grounds station to the: pavilion lias been removed, and a gravel walk. feet wide, put down. This will bb thoroughly packed (town, and granite sand tor decomposed gr.initei used in covering the "walk. too, will be packed down, and will soon make a passageway ecual to cement. The grand stand at the race-track will undergo considerable change.

The entire building will be moved back 20 feet further from the outside fence of tho track, thus giving every one seated in the "grand stand a complete view of the entire track. As it is now only those occupying front seats are able to see the entire track in front of the stand, those farther back being unable to see much more than half The embankment between the, grand stand and the track will be removed. The pool rooms will bo moved to the extreme south end of the grand stand from the north end. where they were In tho. past, -and the saloon will placed uext to tho pool rooms.

This will not. compel every one entering the grand stand or the grounds surround ing it, from passing tho pool rooms when eotniug from the pavilion. It will bo a great improvement 'and will bo appreciated, especially by the la dies coming out to view the races. lho loard has made arrangements to 'tile the entire fair" grounds, and about a mile of and 8 inch tiling will be used, and every low place will be thoroughly drained so that water will not stand in uusightly puddles, and the grounds will not have the appear ance of a swamp after a rainy spell. When the Hoard completes all the improvements now under way or de termined upon, the grounds will bo in excellent condition, and the outlook for this year's exposition are tho best In many years, and with the increased appropriation for premiums $8000 a year there Is ho reason why the fair hereafter should not lie a complete success.
