TWO THE CLOVIS EVENING NEWS40URNAE WEDNESDAY, MAY 24, SOCIETY i Departmental Reports of Woman's Excellent Achievement Modern Problem Group In Charge of Last Meet. Of Season The Clovis Woman's Club enjoyed a delightful luncheon meeting Tuesday at one o'clock in the ball room of Hotel Clovis, the last for this club year. A delectable three-course luncheon was served at one o'clock with places arranged for fifty-eight members and guests. Mrs. A.

C. Pent of the modern problems department presided, as toastmaster for the luncheon. Mrs. Owen Still gave the invocation and was followed by Mrs. Fred E.

Dennis, club president, who sang "0 Fair New Mexico" with the club joining on the chorus. Mrs. J. E. Alstip played the accompaniment.

Miss Mai'garet Weisinger entertained with piano selections during the luncheon. Following the luncheon the club retired to the comfortable lounge of the hotel where an entertaining program of- music was presented. 'Helen Janeway, accompanied by Mrs. Lula A. two very clever musical readings, "The Brat" and "You'll Get a Lickin's" that received great applause.

Miss Zenna Wagner, talented pianist, gave two very beautiful numbers, Dragonfly and Cavalleria. Miss Katy Ray Morgan delighted her audience with a piano number. Little Jackie Mandell gave a perfect impersonation and was called back for an encore. Miss Marcella Martin, with Mrs. E.

M. Baird playing the accompaniment, sang two charming numbers, "Felice" and "Without A Song." The modern problems had charge of the program with Mrs. A. C. Fcnt directing.

Final Business Meet Mrs. Dennis called the meeting to order at the conclusion of the program for the last business meeting of the old year. Each department had prepared reiponts covering the year's work. The departments of the club have -done excellent work over the past few months, buth in civic and benevolent activities. The study and depai-tments have accomplished much.

The membership committee made a report of twenty-five active meifibers received into the club. Mrs. Claude N. Wilson, club parliamentarian, conducted the installation of the, new officers, which included Mrs. Dennis, president; Mrs.

M. Hall, first vice president; Mrs. Smith Wright, second vice president; Mrs. 0. Dorris, recording secretary; Mrs.

M. L. Norris, corresponding secretary; Mrs. Albert Vohs, treasurer; Mrs. Eugene MoEh-oy, parliamentarian; Mrs.
