Obituaries Brewster man killed in car-train collision BREWSTER Services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in Gordon-Shaid- nagle-Hollinger Funeral Home at Navarre for Kevin L. Johnson, 21. of 518 Vabash st. He died early Thursday af- his car was struck by a train at the 31ton rd.

WalterMarkey MAGNOLIA Mrs. Walter (Frances Markey. 57, of 8070 Bowrnont SE died Thursday in Aultman Hospital at Canton following a brief illness. Born in Fredericksburg, she was a daughter of Francis Shuman of Canton and the late Alta Scott Shuman and had lived here since 1952. Surviving are her husband.

Walter: five sons and two daughters, Elaine. Leslie. Dave and Lonnie of the home. Walter F. and Mrs.

Michael (Janice) Leech of Waynesburg and Mrs. Lowell (Betty Jo) Gooding of Dellroy: five brothers and three sisters. Earl H. and Charles E. of Canton, William Y.

of Massillon, Robert R. of Amarillo. Glenn D. of Fenton. Mrs.

Robert H. (Margie) Lewis of North Industry and Mrs. Robert (Luetta) Biery and Mrs. Leonard L. (Virginia) Woodward of Louisville, and nine grandchildren.

Services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in McCreery-Finefrock Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Beal officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Friends may call tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mabel Dunlap HOPEDALE Mabel Maxine Dunlap, 56, of here died Friday in Castle Nursing Home at Millersburg. Born at Cadiz, a daughter of the late Clyde and Helen Greer Dunlap, she was a "member of Harrison Hills United Pentecostal Church. Surviving are seven brothers and five sisters, John of here, Rev. Chant Dunlap and Roy of Crooksville: David, Mrs. Henry (Mary) Atkins, Mrs.

Silver (Mildred) Decaminada and Mrs. Shirley Sterling, all of here; Clifford and Mrs. Zora (Leondal Liggett of Zanesville; James and Lloyd of Florida and Mrs. John (Edith) Liggett of East Fultonham. A sister and brother preceded her in death.

Services will be held Saturday at 3 in Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home at Cadiz with Rev. Hugh Rose officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery at Cadiz. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to9. Mrs.

Margaret K. Archer GREENTOWN Mrs. Margaret E. Archer, 80, who had resided with a daughter, Mrs. Nester (Virginia) Martin of here, died this morning in Manor Care at Belden Village following a long illness.

Born in Alliance, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Manty Yeagley and had been a resident here since 1969. She formerly resided in Carrollton. Her husband. Fred died in 1955. Surviving in addition to the daughter are three sons.

Edward of Carrollton. owner and operator of Archer Dairy Store; Wade of RD 1, Minerva, and Dale of East Rochester; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services will be held Sunday at 2p.m. in Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home at Minerva with Rev. Jerry Reynolds officiating.

Main st. died today in the extended care facility at Coshocton Memorial Hospital following a one- year illness. Arrangements are pending at Dawson Funeral Home. of 83 empty gondolas, caught in the train's undercarriage and was dragged nearly a mile before it was' dislodged. Kadri, 67, of RD 1 died Thursday in Union Hospital. Born at Bower Hill, to the late Lewis and Margaret Reese Braun. she was a retired employe of Alsco-Ana- conda here. Her husband, Joseph, died July24. Surviving are seven sons and two daughters, Robert of West Lafayette.

The changes would boost from $1.000 to $3,000 the limit on the amount of ordinary kinds of income, such as salaries, against which capital losses may be deducted, and would increase the holding period for long-term capital gains from six months to one year. Existing across-the-board tax cut extensions, meanwhile, would continue two key features for individuals through 1977 a general tax credit and a special bonus for the working poor while making permanent the current temporary boosts in standard deductions.

Retained until Dec. 31. 1977. would be: tax credit, subtracted from taxes owed, of $35 for any taxpayer and each dependent. Or.

a taxpayer could take a credit of 2 per cent of the first $9,000 of taxable income, for a top credit of $180. special tax credit, a "work bonus," only for poor working families as a reward for staying off welfare. The credit is available even to persons with no tax liability. The top credit is $400. Made permanent would be present temporary increases in standard deductions used by persons who do not itemize deductions: minimum standard deduction of $1,700 for single persons, $2.100 for couples.

Previously, it was $1.300 for both. Along with personal exemptions, this wipes out individual income taxes for those with lower incomes. maximum standard deduction of 16 per cent of the person's adjusted gross income, up to $2,400 for singles and $2,800 for couples. Previously, it was 15 per cent for both. This simplifies the tax system by encouraging people not to itemize.

Larry (Annettia) Lukas of Delaware, a stepdaughter and two stepsons, Mrs. LaRue (Betty) Gibbs of Dover, William Kugler of Fairborn, and Richard Kugler of New Philadelphia; a twin brother and a sister, Ray of New Philadelphia, and Mrs. Catherine Hans of Dennison: three grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren. Born in Herford, Harrison County, a son of the late Frank and Maude Pur- bay Peron, he had resided in the area for over 50 years. He was a member of the Slovak Club and the United Steelworkers of America. Surviving are his widow, the former Dorothy Dennis: a daughter. Linda Kibler of the home, and one grandson. A sister preceded him in death.

He was a retired farmer and a member of Old Order Amish. In 1911 he married the former Mary Mast, who died in 1972. Surviving are a son, Ben D. of the home; three sisters. Mrs.

Neal (Mary) Hosteller and Mrs. Amanda Esh of Kokomo, and Mrs. Andy (Lizzie) Miller of Nappannee, 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, three daughters, a sister and three brothers. Services will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m.
