I if New Umbrella Weathers Well NEW YORK You and Mary Popplns will be glad to hear that umbrellas will soon be strong enough to weather the windiest rainstorm. The umbrella frame, traditionally consisting of 44 spindly metal pieces, can now be made all in one durable piece.

The new frame, made of a plastic compound with 30 molded-ln hinges, is cheaper to produce and comes in colors to match the umbrella fabric. The hinges, says Modern Plastics, are so strong that even if the whole frame is bent inside-out it easily snaps back into shape again. Testing the finished umbrealla, designers blew it inside-out and returned it to its proper shpae 300,000 times and no failures were recorded. Just think of all the fun you could have on a windy day! ry A 4 1 V- i 5 ws' i44 St Cummings, King Wed Marriage vows were exchanged Saturday by Miss Brenda Lee Cummings and Robert Madison King in Ab- ernethy Methodist Church before the Rev.
