Forbes, 82, of 4931 Kentucky will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, 3535 Thornwood Glenview. Mr. Forbes died Saturday in Swedish Covenant Hospital.

He was cofounder of Merchant's Paper 1758 W. Wrightwood in 1928 and remained active in the business until his death. Surviving are two sons, Sherman R. and Norman Eix grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. Mrs.

Rose Alschuler Services for Rose Alschuler, 84, a former member of the board of Brandeis University, will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel at 5206 N. Broadway. Mrs. Alschuler died Saturday in her home, 1000 N.

Lake Shore Dr. Surviving are a daughter, Beatrice; a son, Frank; a brother; and two grandchildren. John Gremer Mass for John Gremer, owner of two Southwest Side liquor stores, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Bernadette's Catholic Church, 9400 S.

Francisco Evergreen Park. Mr. Gremer, 70, of 9137 S. Richmond Evergreen Park, died Saturday in Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn. Mr.

Gremer owned John's Food and Liquor stores, 2734 W. 87ti) St. and 10601 S. Pulaski Rd. He is survived by his widow, Johanna; three sons, John, Paul, and Robert; and two daughters, Mrs.

Carolyn Balsis and Mrs. Mary WinterEeld. Martin Hoog Mass for Martin Hoog, a North Side grocer, will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Our Lady Mother of the Church, 8747 W. Lawrence Av.

Mr. Hoog, 58, of 4632 N. Reserve died Friday in his home. Since 1959 he had owned and operated in partnership with his two sons the Certified Food Supermarket at 5411 W. Montrose Av.

He is survived by his widow, Katherina; sons Frank and Joseph; and four grandchildren. Harry W. Bradley Services for Harry W. Bradley, 73, a retired employe of International Harvester were held Saturday in Tucson, Ariz. Mr.

Bradley, formerly of La Grange Park, died Thursday in a Tucson hospital. When he retired in 1965 after more than 40 years with International Harvester, he was manager of the company's purchasing department. He is survived by his widow, Catherine. William A. Elliott Services for William A.

Elliott, 72, a retired partner in the accounting firm of Murphy, Lanier, and Quinn, 135 S. La Salle will be Tuesday in Naples, Fla. Mr. Elliott, formerly of 909 E. Ken-ilworth Palatine, retired in 1969 to Naples, where he died Saturday.

He had been with the accounting firm for 23 years. Surviving are his widow, Florence; two daughters, Arlene Ewan and Judy Bishop; two sisters; and eight grandchildren. GEORGE S. HARTMANN a veteran of 37 years with The Tribune as reporter, labor editor, and assistant city editor, was dead on arrival at McHenry Hospital Saturday after being stricken In his home in Wonder Lake. He was 68.

Born in Chicago Dec. 3, 1908, Mr. Hartmann began his newspaper career in 1925 on the old Herald-Examiner and joined The Tribune as a relief police reporter in 1932. He became a night assignment editor fat 1939, end two years later became labor editor, his assignment for 13 years. "Our union," said a profile of him which appeared in a labor newspa-.

per In 1949, "never has had a biased story from George Hartmann IN 1954, MR. Hartmann became an assistant city editor, a job he held until his retirement in 1969. Mr. Hartmann was graduated from; the De Paul University law school in 1933, having attended classes during the day while working nights. MR.

HARTMANN gave" his body to science. A memorial Mass of the Resin rection will be offered Sunday in Christ the King Church, Wonder Lake. He Is survived by a daughter, Mrs. George S. Hartmann Sr.

in 1952. Thomas P. Lois Mathews; three sons, George S. Thomas, and James; three stepsons, Bill, Jerry, and Richard Boetsch; two stepdaughters, Mary Boetsch and Barbara Diedrick; and a sister, a brother, and 30 grandchildren. Composer Irwin Fischer services set in Evanston Services for Louis Ware, ex-chairman of IMC board musical theory.

His compositions include two symphonies and "Orchestral Adventures of a Little Tune," premiered by the Chicago Symphony in 1974. HE GRADUATED from the University of Chicago and. American Conservatory of Music and studied with Nadia Boulan-ger in Paris in 1931 and Zoltan Kodaly in Budapest in 1936. From 1939 to 1942, Mr. Fischer was conductor of the National Youth Administrative Orchestra.

He is survived by his widow, Marion; and two sons, Fred and Alan. SERVICES FOR Irwin Fischer, composer, conductor, and organist for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra from 1944 to 1966, will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel at 1567 Maple Evanston. Mr. Fischer, 73, died Saturday in his Wilmette home.

At the time of his death, he was conductor of the West Suburban Symphony and dean of faculty of American Conservatory of Music, 116 S. Michigan Av. He wrote a number of works for piano and organ, contributed to musical journals, and was co-author of a book on road, now the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad. Raised in Kentucky and a graduate of the University of Kentucky, Mr. Ware spent years as a mining engineer in the U.

S. and abroad before coming to Chicago in 1935 as president of United Electric Coal Cos. and Coal Sales Corps. He is survived by his widow, Virginia; two sons, R. Louis and Thomas six grandchildren; and five MEMORIAL SERVICES for Louis Ware, 82, former chairman of the board of International Minerals Chemical Corp.
