There will be no local reference- dums or bond issues on the oal- iot. Mrs. Mildred Friedkin, chief clerk of the Bureau of reported Monday that ballots are; already being returned from inili-j lary personnel and civilians who will not be home for election day.

Those ballots remain unopened until after election. The five Constitutional amendments include: 1. Allowing a governor, other than the present state chieftain, to succeed himself for one additional term. 2. Allowing county treasurers to succeed themselves.

They are presently confined too one four- year term. 3. Permit cash refunds of tax es, licenses, and fees collected but then found not legally due on warrant of the proper officer. 4. Begin the term of the Sec retary of Internal Affairs on the third Tuesday of January follow ing election.

FOLCROFT --The Democrats lave been victorious in som in the last few years, win ling by narrow margins. The lave split into two factions re cently, and there are no indica tions of unification before the election. Candidates for school board Wagner Seeks Neiv Job SPRINGFIELD--Louis Wagner, long-time Republican commission er and present chairman of the board, will be seeking a new job Tuesday.

Wagner, 97 S. Forest Road, is matched against Democrat Peter J. Patane, 529 Cheyney Road, in a hard fight for township treasurer-tax collector. Wagner is a retired lawyer and 40-year resident of the town. He has been a commissioner for more than 20 years and is local civil defense director.

Patane, a four-year resident, is patent attorney and mechanical ngineer. Prime issue between the two candidates is the complexity of he job and how much pay it is worth. Fighting for the 4th Ward commissioner's post Wagner is vacating are Democrat Conrad J. Weiler. 257 S.
