6. The navy today made public a list of 42G casualties, 30 from Illinois. The report brought to 71.325 the total navy casualties since Pearl Harbor, including 28.468 dead, 29.024 wounded, 9.355 rnissinr. and 4,478 prisoners. Those from Chicapoland follow: CHICAGO AND VICINITY.

Graber's order of Oct. 30 reinstating Capt. Eugene A. Barry in the police department with full back pay since June 16, when he and six other captains were discharged for alleged failure to suppress gambling.

The commission members, In a letter signed by Walter L. Gregory, president, expressed a belief that Judge Graber had erred In his ruling. Judge Graber stated that the discharge of the captains was a travesty on Justice," and that evidence had not sustained the charges against them. Hearing on the petitions of the six other captains seeking reinstatement on the claim that they were not given a fair trial by the commission was postponed yesterday to Nov. 13 because of the illness of Judge Graber.

They are Capts. Louis Klatzco, Walter K. Healy, William J. Drury, John T. Cartan, Thomas Connelly, and Thomas Harrison.
