SOCIAL AND CLUB NEWS Grig-g-s-Lepper Wedding: In Trinity Parsonage Mrs. Dorothy Lucille Griggs, daughter of Mrs. E. C. Owens and John Thorpe of Moberly, became the bride Friday afternoon of Kenneth Leroy Lepper, I street.

All-Girl Orchestra to Ploy Emancipation Dance at Auditorium International Sweethearts of Rhythm, popular all-girl orchestra, will make their third Moberly appearance when they play an Emancipation celebration dance at the Municipal Auditorium next Monday night at 9 o'clock. The Sweethearts were ly signed to a special booking contract with Associated Booking Corporation, joining Lionel Hampton, Billie Holiday, Andy Kirk and other headline band attractions and entertainment personalities in the A. B. C. fold.

Following their current tour, the band- will return to Hollywood to appear in a full length feature film to be produced by Alexander Productions, an all Negro company. The all-girl 18- piece aggregation spotlights the drumming of Pauline trombone stylist Helen Jones and the directing of Anna Mae Winburn.
