O. F. Hall. Mrs. Susie Brawley was general chairman, Mrs.

Milton Vanlandingham was in charge of the ktchen committee, and Mrs. Rex Keen in charge of the dining room. A program was presented by Mrs. Minnie Foster and included the leading of pep songs by Mrs. Virgil Howell.

In a word writing AL contest Mrs. Glen Clark won the "prize. Mrs. Irene Sylvester, a past noble grand at Martinsburg, Iowa, was a guest and gave a reading, "A Good Samaritan." Mrs. Ethel Hardwick, noble grand, conducted the meeting.

The group decided to have a Valentine tea at the next meeting, 6:30 o'clock, February 10. Birthday Party For Doris Roberts Doris Roberts celebrated her eleventh birthday Saturday afternoon with a party in the home of her mother, Mrs. Sarah Roberts, 1011 Hinkley avenue. Executive committee of the Women's. Council of the Central Christian Church will meet at 2:15 o'clock tomorrow afternoon in the church. Leeds-Burris Wedding Performed in Hill Home. The marriage of Miss Margarette Leeds of Cairo to Richard W. Burris, son of Mr.

and Mrs. Abner Burris of Cairo, took place Sunday afternoon, January 19, in the home of the bride's cousin. Mrs. Cecil Hill, and Mr. Hill, 426 East Rollins street.

The service was read at 4 o'clock by the Rev. C. W. Cornn, pastor of Central Christian church. The couple were attended by Mr.

and Mrs. Don Asbury of Renick: The bride wore an ice-blue dress with a corsage of red roses and carried a prayer book. Mrs. Asbury wore a melon-colored crepe dress. For her traveling costume when the couple left on a honeymoon the bride wore a kelly green costume with black accessories.

The couple will live in Cairo while the bridegroom, is attending Moberly Junior College. Mrs. Burris is a graduate of the Cairo High School and has been living with her cousin here. She was employed by the Southwest Bell Telephone Company here. The bridegroom was released from Army service in November, 1946'.

Beach of Armstrong, and Mrs. G.C. Burton, attended the luncheon and meeting Monday held at the church. The two-course luncheon was served by members of Section 2 and Section 1 was in charge of the devotional and program. Mrs.

E. Baker served as devotional leader. Mrs. C. R.

Morrow, accompanied by Mrs. Herbert Rutherford at the piano, sang ''Rock of Ages" and "Love Divine." During a business session, conducted by the president, Mrs. H. B. Hunter, the group voted to give $5 to the Infantile Paralysis drive and to serve the Sunday evening suppers for the youth meetings for two months' Shower Party Given For Mrs.

Harold Switzer Mrs. Ernest Fowler and Mrs. Charles W. Harris entertained Tuesday night at a pink and blue shower for Mrs. Harold W.
